Which is why we can observe tides on very large bodies of water, such as oceans, very easily.

On smaller bodies of water like lakes, the observable affect is much smaller, to the point where the human eye would be unable to determine it occuring.

So, step up and tell me how tides work. You know tides do exist as you have seen them on the ocean. Whether they exist on lakes is not being discussed at this point.

What is your opinion? You haven't stated it other than you have never seen tides on lakes in Scotland. We can all accept that and have provided articles suggesting it is only 1.5mm which is clearly not something anyone would notice.

Why is it that these guys gravitate towards US politics? Is it because they get wrapped up in the same type of people and these people are based in the US and send content and memes all about US politics? US politics is retarded. Neither of the candidates are appealing, but one is a chaos agent so while I don't like the policies of the old guy we have to hold our nose and vote for the old guy on the basis that he has surrounded himself with a competent team who will hold the ship steady for another 4 years until we can have better choices. In 4 years time I will be voting for sane fiscal policies (Mitt Romney was the last time I thought we had a reasonable choice). I'm a fiscal conservative and a social libertarian so I don't fit anywhere.

You're right of course. American politics should only be of any concern to countries that host a US military base. Can't think why anyone should be watching it here in Australia.
