No one knows how we got here as it cannot be physically verified / documented.

It seems too perfect so i am going with my faith in creation over their theory of evolution - dependant of course on their other theory of there being a Big Bang lol.

The sun and the moon in a size / distance relationship that seems a coincidence?

Yet Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, any of the 250 odd moons of Jupiter and Saturn, any asteroids, any comet observed in the last 2,000 years, any of the millions of stars you can see at night do not also have the same coincidence.

Is it also coincidence no other of the millions of similar objects in the sky also don't have this same relationship ?

Well, you weren't measuring it properly. With only a 1.5mm tide, I can understand that

When you consider that gravity creates a bulge of water closest to the moon, the water is actually coming from somewhere else. It is not floating. In an open ocean, it is effectively taking water from elsewhere to create this bulge.

In the case of a relatively small lake, there is no source of extra water not influenced by the moon, so why would you expect there to be a tide. I am surprised that there is even a 1.5mm to be honest.

If you don't believe in tides, go to a place like Mackay in Qld. Watch how much you can see it go out and the big differences.

For those that have been to Phan Rang in Vietnam, you can see the effect of the tides on whether you can kite or if you can see the bottom. Clearly tides do exist and understanding how they work can explain why you never saw any change in the lakes you talk about.

Could you, out of genuine interest, answer some of these questions to the best of your knowledge?
How big is the moon?
How does it shine light?
How far away is it (from sea level obviously, you can choose your own datum)?

Evolution is well and truly substantiated. It's mainstream science. But it doesn't deal with where we came from other than to say after life emerged then it evolved, and because of the nature of reproduction (specifically its imperfect copying) speciation was inevitable.

As for origins there's a modest interest in the study of abiogenesis. Many of the puzzles have been plausible explained but the picture is incomplete.

Creation is not substantiated. It remains indistinguishable from fantasy Pete.

As for tides, if you understand the mechanism you wouldn't expect to see more than a tiny movement in a land locked lake - virtually none. A significant factor in the tides in the ocean is that all the bodies of water are connected and small differences in gravitational pressure make significant global differences.
