Running the 40.5 mast, this thing turns so hard I can manage rail on water and tips out. Such awesome gear.
Can't wait to get the 850 going.

Got the RS850 dialed after 3 waves. Mind is blown. Greta top and bottom end. Glides amazing and turns on a dime. Hard to choose what one now. AA has smashed it. If you want to demo anything, Merimbula classic will be your place in November. Gold Coast October and WA in December.

Greetings. Based on information on this thread I recently swapped from Armstrong and started winging an RS1150/14FTL/32.5. I am looking to replace/update my well used F-One 60L board. It appears that F-One has some tail rocker so the foil boxes are not parallel with deck. The F-One seems to ride well with GF but I am wondering if I should get a board that has a deck that is parallel with the foil boxes? Are there any pros or cons to either setup or is it just a rider feel that dictates what is best?

If you're winging and now on Gofoil, going Gofoil board is a no brainer.

You cam also shim the base plate to even out the rocker.

I have the F-one 60L board, tried a bunch of foils other than f-one. worked just fine for me. Also recently rode the new Fanatic sky style 75L with the RS1150, this board has good tail rocker as well and it's not parallel to the deck, works perfect. In fact, most new board I've seen coming out with tail rocker.

Jimmy Lewis Flying VM works perfect with track placement on Go Foil gear. Running GT series foils in the middle of the tracks. But I am bias4"8 60ltr

My RS 850 arrived yesterday and I was able to use it today winging with a 4.2 Strike in (very) gusty 10-25+mph w/ 3' wind waves at best. I'm probably 90Kg all up on a 70L board so I had my doubts about even getting going and I did just sit on my board occasionally waiting for a gust.

I'll keep it brief... this might even replace my 1150 How such a tiny wing can have that much lift is remarkable. I'm a bit concerned that it may be too big for 3.5 and 2.8 conditions, my smallest tail is the 14.5 FT-L so probably the 12.5 would help. Super well behaved for a wing of this AR, did nothing weird in these conditions (foot switch is trickier). I pushed the stall speed and only got it drop out once.

Very pleased and looking forward to more time on it!

Just as a follow up to my post in case anyone is interested. I acquired an Appletree Slice 60L to use for some back to back tests with my F-One 60L. The Appletree has no tail rocker versus the F-One with tail rocker. Used the Go Foil RS1150/14fts and an Armstrong 1550v2/195/60 for comparison, winds were 13kts-15kts and I was using a 5.5m wing. My takeaway was that the Go Foil rode and felt better with the Appletree (no tail rocker) and that the Armstrong rode and felt better with the F-One (w/tail rocker). On both boards the Go Foil was slammed back in the boxes and the Armstrong slammed forward. If I had to choose one setup the Go Foil/Appletree was my favorite. I've come to the conclusion that tail rocker plays a significant role in how a foil rides and feels and that board and foil need to be paired correctly to achieve the best riding results. Happy foiling :)

When you say "the Go Foil rode and felt better with the Appletree" could you describe what do you mean by better? What negatives were you getting on the F-one in comparison?

I ask is because I'll have a chance to test both the RS1150 and RS850 on my F-one 60L in the next few days.

When you say "the Go Foil rode and felt better with the Appletree" could you describe what do you mean by better? What negatives were you getting on the F-one in comparison?

I ask is because I'll have a chance to test both the RS1150 and RS850 on my F-one 60L in the next few days.

What I felt comparing the Go Foil to The Armstrong is that the Go Foil rides off the front foot and the Armstrong rides off the back foot. Straight line riding both setups feel good but when riding waves and in transitions is where I felt the effects of the tail rocker. The Armstrong benefited from the additional angle of the tail rocker on the F-One, giving a balanced feel between back and front feet, less pitch sensitive, smoother transitions, better pumping and controlled wave riding. The Go Foil on the F-One was the complete opposite for me, Go Foil didn't benefit from the from the tail rocker and I felt like I had to compensate for the added lift in my riding style. Where on the Appletree the Go Foil was well balanced and neutral, very smooth in the transitions, I felt it pumped better and wave riding was effortless and took no additional mental calculations. These are just my impressions based on my style of riding, I do not use straps, my feet are offset and fairly close together, I weigh 77kgs. But If all I knew was Go Foil on an F-One board I would still be psyched on this setup since that is what I am presently riding. My next board will have no rocker, Appletree build quality is excellent and have added it to my short list. It is still early days for me on the Go Foil, my impressions may change over time. Right now I am stoked with the the RS1150, I think it might be a quiver killer. I just received the RS1000 but have not ridden it yet. I look forward to seeing reviews on the RS850 and RS1075 both of these are potential wish list items. Happy Foiling :)

I'd say it even feels pretty close in lift to the 1150 (winging). Noticeably harder for me to start but not nearly as hard as I expected. It seems to pick up more wave energy and you have to be quicker w/ pitch control over all. The single biggest surprise is how well it behaves for 10 AR wing.

Just got the new 1075 and a new 80CM mast. Honestly i'm pretty annoyed.

The 1075 is fine....its a little better pumping than the 1000 but not worth the loss of liveliness turning. It fits the new mast great which would be excelent except i hate the new mast. 80 is just to F*!@ing long for prone. 70 is too short. The 75 mast is definately the right length.

I would just track down an old 75 but the old masts don't really fit the new wings. The old masts have a smaller tennon connection so the new wings don't really fit right (excessive gap even fully seated)

I'm sure your preference for a pretty short mast is specific to riding style or local conditions, in Sydney the top guys ride between 80 to 90cm prone depending on the day.

GF dealer in AUS has mentioned in the past that they can custom order any length mast you like, assuming that's still possible and if you know what you like, maybe you can just order it.

The 75cm is making a come back stay toooned.

Also the new GT2600, RS1075, RS850, 17" FTS/L, 20" FTS, 23" FTL have all been chucked into the GFA fleet of demos, the bus will be in QLD 18-25TH OCT, Merimbula classic (possible special guests flying in too) 23-28th November & West oz crew we will be over there December 1-8 limited wings as im flying in.

The length is fine for our big days but is 100% too deep for small days. I have a 26.5 that I bought a year ago and it's 100% incompatible with the 80cm. All my wings are are set up for that mast(had to trim the collar back on the 1000) have a massive gap on the 80.
As for the 1075 I do a lot of quick skates turns and I don't think that dihedral works with that. Also, DIHEDRAL!?! What is this 2019?

TME you remind me of Marvin (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy). Why did you get the 1075? It looks like a smaller GTS1400 which why I want one. You were frothing about the 850.
I have a 'new' 80 mast which is awesome and it is exactly the same fit on all my wings and tails as the old 93 mast. Not sure what have done there. I also like that the 1075 does proper carving turns, sounds great. Skate turns are so 2000.

I'm on gofoil 100% for construction and durability. I got the 1075 because I was looking for a hair more pump than the 1000. I didn't get the 850 because I already have a lift 120.

Honestly I like the 1000 because it's not a carve wing. I'm not a carve rider.

as for the 80 I'm sure I'll get used to it but I live in a place where it cuts out 1/4 of my sessions.

Here is some Info on the new RS 850 and RS1075!
First you will notice they are heavier and slightly more expensive than the other Go Foil wings for the Sq Cm area.
The reason for both is that there is much more carbon fiber in these wings to keep them stiff with the thinner profiles.
Both are thin and fast.
The RS 850 is very high aspect and glides very well. Tomo and Dylan really like it on their prone boards as they can pump around a lot.. Tomo really likes the way it turns too. I really like it luffing downwind with ease on my smaller wing boards.
The RS 1075 is very thin as well but has a bigger chord and a little more bend in the outline allowing it turn unreal!
I prefer this wing when I am turning on waves or racing around. I got second place in the Pro Course race in the Gorge on this wing with the 12.5"FTL.
As for Downwind paddling, the RS1075 seems to have a faster overall speed downwind on the good days here in Maui. Dave Kalama , Jeremy Riggs, and Tomo love the RS1075 for epic Downwind SUP foiling.
Probably our fastest overall for the DW paddling. The RS850 according to Tomo is faster in Max speed but so far is not as fast in overage avg speed.

The 850 pumps better than the 1000 I am told.
I am keeping my 1000 because it carves in big waves.

Right, I see "more bend in the outline".

The RS850 wasn't what I expected TBH due to the wide span, I was hoping the RS850 was 850cm2, but 800-815mm wide and a smaller chord say 130-135mm then it'd be great for kite foiling, tow, DW glide, wing and speed too.

I find wings > 900mm start becoming more difficult to turn (roll rail to rail) irrespective of aspect ratio. It's probably why I can throw around the GT1250 easier than the GT1400, but both are great wings and I use both often.

I might try the 17" or 20" tail as suggested by AA here with the RS1000, could be similar to the RS1075 .net

Recently got a 20L tail and am having a great time with it. Matched with the RS1300 on lighter days (12-20mph) it's made these conditions fun again. I also found a good deal on a low mileage GL240 and the pair will get going in any little puff. Interestingly not much difference in max speed between these setups, 19mph on the GL240, 21.x on the 1300, same 20L. The GL just gets there slower, drops off faster, and needs more babysitting.

May even try it with the 1150 one day, turns great
