bushfire said..Hey Jamieferg,
Good progress, nice photos!

I have a TWF Manta also and am slowly getting better. I'm keen to see what you have done with the foil angles, mentioned above. Any chance of posting a photo?
Thanks....

This is the Initial angle of the Rear elevator ( rear stabiliser wing )
Looking back it was producing FAR too much lift.
I had the mast base as far forward as possible. and couldn't get my weight to far back as it would pitch and "take off" , then the Foil would break the surface and you would drop 3 feet. (Still doing the same speed mind you !!) Sort of fun but a touch disconcerting too.

I didn't want to touch the packer just yet so i made some smaller packers out of and old plastic card (eg debit card).
Changing the angle had to effect the handling. Right?
i made a few of them and tried out a single, double and triple packer over a couple weekends.
It Definitely made a improvement in handling and keeping a constant pitch level. less corrections as i was getting it more balanced.
You have too keep in mind that this is specific to the board im using.
AHD SL2 132 litre (233 x 79.5)
And Specific to the placement of the fin box. This board was never meant to run a Foil and in my opinion its defiantly far too aft hence the adjustment process ive been doing.
I had Improved it a hell of a lot but still felt there was room to go further.
I still wasn't sailing with both feet in the straps and felt far more comfortable sailing unhooked.
