Fark you karnt & all the people green thumbing you. Basically supporting poor surf etiquette.
I reread your first reply & realize you think I'm the bloke who was sitting on the outer shoulder bubble on the longboard who came out after you. I'm not, I'm one of the shortboard blokes. Bloke with the hat.
I don't give a fark if you surfed there 1000 years ago & you still only surfed there a few years before me anyway.
You don't paddle straight out & sit just inside people when there is very few people. You weren't on a different take'off spot. You were about 4m away from us & kept repositioning. What you did is not cool.
I'm done communicating with your smart'assery online. Do it again when I'm out there & this will escalate.
Wow seriously can't you handle a different perspective or some friendly tongue in cheek?
Mate no bad blood my side just trying to tell you the facts from my perspective. No intentional disrespect, no intentional trying to get a rise outta you, no intentional snaking or dropping in on your local spot, and not trying to be a smart arse at you.
As for bad surf etiquette? Repositioning? Seriously I'd just paddled out and was trying to gauge where the swell was hitting and the best break and position, are you like this with everyone that paddles past you? Because I still think this is much bigger in your mind than anything done against you mate. And I don't even remember a specific bloke in a hat on a shorty? There where heaps of guys wearing hats?
So you got me at a disadvantage, you remember me because I was simply being a friendly guy saying hi as I paddled past on an awesome board that you recognised. I don't remember you because short boarders all look alike to me? Again no disrespect, you just were not on my radar to mess around with.
As for escalate.... really? Hope you got a black belt in jujitsu brother? But I doubt that because what they teach us is to de-escalate conflict before it leads to something stupid and regretful from which there is no return.
So I'm gonna de-escalate this and offer to buy you a pint to calm the waters, next time you see me the code will be to call me a "smart'assery, tosser mid length rider", that way I'll know who you are and can buy you a beer after the session :-)
Keep it good vibes mate, that's all I'm out there for, not trying to steal your waves.
Peace, good vibes and a free beer, that's the extent of my malicious intent towards you brother.
Cheers,
Hydro
