They really are super rough but surprisingly functional, at least for a super average surfer like me.
Its certainly very satisfying surfing something you've made yourself, even if by any standards its pretty average... and I can build an experiment for about $300 which I can easily move if it doesn't work and hopefully improve my skills.
I spent a lot of time trying to understand what impact certain design aspects have on the way a board rides, rocker/rails/hull design or as SP so aptly described "organising the flow of water"... I've kept it really simple as my shaping skills are very limited and for me and the way I surf (and think


) simple works... "insert shaka"
