The Issue wasn't Ryan, he's a real stand up guy... if a bit slow to respond... but for good reasons...

But yeah, I had some issues with Matteo being a bit slack with contact, but that was understandable. He went from being the distributor to Ryan coming and shaping direct for people... anyways, I went to Ryan direct and he was awesome getting my Lizzy done, and he's trying to sort something for me now because I missed out

I have no hard feelings as I needed a week to get him the money and needed him to hold it till march vs locals literally beating down his door to buy... so I get it...

Personally, I'd hook up and get one, best board I have surfed EVER... and so many comments from locals... the boards are unique and really something special... which is why they are so sought after...

I mean, I want to buy a substitute with cash thats now burning a hole in my wallet and looked at a bunch of other awesome alternates but I just feel that all of them will be a compromise...

Its the big thing it has over my TC (ex) is that it LOVES to be surfed up the board, its like having a different gear vs the TC was better straight off the tail... and coming from an LB base thats super appealing...

I do like the Gato Space Pig through, there's one getting around down here and I need a closer look as it does have similar outline and those nice sharp glider 70/30 down rails...

I think i was going for a bigger wave board i'd go for a Cbucket, based on my FT experience but with a pin I know they are unreal.

I really like the Vouch Evo but i just havent had enough experience on a these Hull to deep V boards to know how they'll surf, or if I can surf them.

Totally dude, i'd rather have less boards but pay more and really get what I want than scratch around on a bunch of not quite compromises...

Nothing better than nailing that perfect board that just works. I have 2 that I'd just never sell. The 10' Hotlog and the 7'7" Lizzy and I ride em both regularly, Hotlog is more than 6yrs old and rides just as good as the day I got her.

Hey Andy, yeah for sure, very different boards which need to be surfed differently. As you know Lizzy has more foam, a more parallel outline and has the concaves. Whereas the piggy is way more foiled, wide point south of centre, wider tail and a rolled bottom.

i have a 7'2 lizzy and had a 7'6 pig. Lizzy I find I can ride any where any time whereas the 7'6 pig I found was not one thing or the other. It was not a 9ft log and awkward in bigger waves. But that could just be me. I sold my 7'6 and bought a 9ft space pig.... best decision ever. Now I have a foiled out, agile log which I ride in "longboard" waves. I use a 10" salty merchants fin and I love it.

i can also ride the Lizzy in small waves, it just depends on how I want to surf or which board is in the car..... both work in small waves but differently.

i easily accomodate both but have very different lengths.... solves the board selection confusion

Can the Space Pig at 9' NR or still too short?

I think in an Ideal world my 7'7" Lizzy would be accompanied by an 7'8"-8' VBowls and an 8"2"- 8"4" Lizzy... I would then sell the fish and just look for a shorter NR to round out the quiver.

In my own experiments I found that, for me, the wide point aft midlengths have a quite narrow range. Not saying I'll never go there again, but for now at least I've dropped that path. I had one 7'10er, 16.5" wide one foot up the tail, stunning board in gutless little waves. Also very stunning in entirely not great ways when the juice turned on a little bit. In the end I gave it to a young guy to rip the glass off to make his first board.

Can I ask how much you weigh onefin? I ask in relation to the 7'2 Lizzy and it being a decent ride in small waves. What do you mean by small too?

Ha ha yeah good point. I am 71-72kg and live on the Gold Coast. Thigh high waves I can ride on either board, generally speaking I Surf the open beachies. However, when I have time I Surf the points. I think rolled bottom need certain waves, or at least open faced waves. Lizzy not so much, quite happy with onshore conditions and cleaner waves.

I find the squirt and consequent acceleration of the lizzy quite handy however, I equally enjoy picking an angle and using rail length on my rolled bottoms. I should mention my Lizzy is set up as a bonzer.

Andy, the space pig is not really a nose rider.... but neither am I! Highline, Carve off the tail, stall and cheater five is generally my approach.

check out the Gato Heroi smooth operator they are more of a nose rider

Cheers dude... and Yeah, the versatility of Lizzy is pretty amazing. Has decent acceleration but its down the line speed when you place her in right part of a wave is really amazing... I just keep being surprised by sections I make on her that I just know I wouldn't make on any of my other boards...
