Looking for help.
My 24 year old daughter wants to get a surfboard.
She thinks she wants a midlength.
She wants to cruise and carve rather than do radical maneuvers.
She is 171 cm tall and 60 kg.
She has surfed occasionally, but is far from expert.
Expert snowboarder, good balance.
Any suggestions as to where she should start looking, size and style wise?
Depends a lot on the waves too I reckon, if they are steeper or more slopey as many of the vic waves seem to be (you are in victoria right?) That will affect the outline and tail design...
I would have a chat with Corey Graham down there, hear really good things about his boards and his general knowledge, his boards look unreal.
Being that lightweight I would look at a fish too as they will give you the natural glide but maybe more manageable in terms of transport and they are easier to surf, just pop up and go whereas a mid will surf better moving back and forward on the board...
