If you are I don't think this device would be for you.
But it does highlight a disadvantage of the watch form. When we first got the Garmin Foretrex 201, and we still thought it was 'waterproof', we wore it on the wrist or arm with the velcro watchband it came with. As a result, there are quite a few still on the bottom of Shallow Inlet somewhere.
If you are about that, there are a few 'solutions' I can think of:
- use a cable tie to secure it to your arm
- Enclose it in an arm band, preferably one that floats.
- Wear it inside your helmet or hat
