PM33 claimed two things. One was he had read a media 'fear' article (he never clarified the source or cited the article) staying Frankfurt will reach 40 deg, and the other that he had checked a weather website (he did confirm which one) which did not forecast the same thing.

Only thing PM33 claimed had occured was that the media article had exaggerated the forecast for the purposes of creating a 'fear' article.

Fangy suggested PM33 should be reading better sources and not junk-media that always publishes 'fear' articles. Which seemed like a fair response.

Other people then seemed to highlight that Frankfurt didn't hit the 40 degrees catastrophe that was alledgedly stated in whatever article PM33 read.

Maybe if you'se took a deep breath had a snickers and chillaxed you wouldn't need these things explained to you.

Anyways, to keep the forum on track, how are all the predictions from 2005 going ? I am pretty sure the rain that did fall in NSW last week did fill the reservoirs. So that is one prediction from an expert that might seem to back-up PM33's theory of ill-placed prophecies of doom.

I think you are still a little confused, pcdefender mentioned an article forecasting 40 degrees for Frankfurt. The article was pretty easy to find and quoted the German weather service.

As it turned out the prediction was slightly off and the temperature only reached 38 degrees.

Pcdementia, howver, claimed that the temperature had only reached 31 degrees. I think he has trouble understanding dates and time zones. Which, to be fair is not surprising, given that he believes the Earth is flat.

It's important to remember that governments generally prepare a press release and the media interpret it how they will. It's always a good idea to read the source document.
