I would think that a flat earth belief is against a belief in a god.

You are attempting to apply a process of reasoned logic to a mindset that is neither reasonable or logical, it is theological. And much like the situation in the middle east, there will not be a lasting compromise or resolution when fundamental theism is involved.

I'd be right there with you except political ignorance begets social decline. Had coffee with my 80 year old neighbour yesterday, he remembers quite clearly events like Sir Joh making a motza of Queensland for twenty years. Wonder how the conspiracy theorists were treated when claiming corruption.

No, a rational person might say 'I think there is corruption there, because greed is in human nature'.

A CTer would say, "oh clearly 'they' are in on it and control the world from one organisation, and they have secret messages and symbols, and soon the lizard people will rise up. They are taking the money and Sir Joh is only listening to his masters".

See the difference?

But another thing the CTers have in their arsenal is that when you claim lots and lots of things, all the time, with no proof, eventually something will come true. That does not in itself validate all the other bogus claims made along the way.

I think sometimes that you are winding us up, but then I think you believe this stuff. Sadly I think the second one is the right one.

Chemtrails? Well, its a pretty inefficient way of doing whatever it is that they are supposed to be doing.

Data hacking? It is so common-place that people are attempting to hack things. So many parts of IT infrastructure is made up of layers upon layers. Those layers sometimes have mistakes in them or vulnerabilities. It's a complete industry to keep those things from going wrong especially when you have groups in Russia or Cambodia that are making a business out of attacking other internet connected services.

You "think" there are hundreds of thousands dead? What makes your thoughts any more accurate than mine or a random person on the street? There is no way for it to be tested. If it turns out to be true (and clearly not hushed up), you will claim victory in getting it right. If it never turns out to be true you will claim it has been hushed up. Can you see the error with this way of thinking?

Is there a difference between political and religous ideologies? I would argue that both have been a way to control people in the past.

I even take issue with the idea that they are 'leftist' ideologies. I think at the root of them all is someone that wants everyone else to do things a certain way, but they as supreme commander will get benefits and privileges that the mere workers don't get.

I remember some union here in Australia claiming to support Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and the socialism that he was supposedly creating. It was rubbish. In Venezuela, the people were struggling yet the leaders were filthy rich.

I really don't know if there has ever been any versions of communism or scialism where it has truly been for the benefit of the people. But I think I would prefer these regimes to any religion where they suggest that the people not in their religion are the enemy and should be fought against.

Probably not, both have been used to achieve the other.

I think ideology can be just as unreasonable and illogical as religion, so much so that it can become pseudo religious. Just look at some of the climate change dogma going on at the moment as a contemporary example.
