Cool river session. Diane on a 7m2, Patrice on a 9m2.
Alas, Patrice does not think there is a market for the 9m2 (yet?), so no 9m2 in production now.

Here's another very long video from this mornings Upwind - Downwind session.

The southerly hit about 0500, and I hit the water at 0600. Sailed approx. 5km (straight line) upwind to South Warriewood headland from Newport Beach.

Tacking took 5 tacks, approx. 28mins with a good average speed of 16.2kmh and actual distance of 7.5km.

Then the fun part, super fun DW'er Free-Winging.

The wind was Southerly about 14kn with gusts up to 26kn according to the observations. Swell South at 185degrees 1.5m at 5sec.

Heres the full run including my quick stop to start the GoPro at Warriewood and reach out to the main wind line before DW'ing.

(red parts are where I am off the foil).

And here's a decent amount of the main DW run. Thought I'd post a solid length for those interested to see how much I use the Wing and how much I am Free-Winging. The run was super fun, and had some smoking glides. It does go for about 9:30, but it's all one clip.
Enjoy.

Ride safe,

If you thought that last vid was long. I had so much fun I just had to go back out again for another (longer) run. Here's a quick snip from the Up-Winds, but a solid 20mins of DW Free-Winging most of the way.

And some stats,

the full run,

Just the Up-Wind,

Just the DW Free-Winging,

Too much fun,

enjoy if you can be bothered to watch,

ride safe,

That is a harness line. When I rode in the morning I cooked my right forearm beating upwind. So the afternoon session I used a harness line to help with the long tacks up wind. Worked a treat, really worth while if you are planning a long slog upwind.

Went for another nice DW Wing-Surf DW'er yesterday. Was a lot of fun even though the wind got very light in the middle of the run. Good bumps and as always - Always learning. Awesome to have some crew to run with too

Enjoy,

Riding the Naish Hover Foil 110 CU, Jet 1400 HA with HA Stab and 85cm Mast and the Wing-Surfer 4m.

Spoilt for choice on the WIng-Surfer. Here's a fun late afternoon session on Pittwater milking the last of the Southerly yesterday. It was starting to SE/E by the end and got pretty light, but still lots of fun for an hour or so. Big thanks to Ady Rose for filming, so good to not have all GoPro POV for a change . Also stoked to young Indy Rose ripping to hard - Watch this kids ;) .

I was riding the Hover Foil 110 Carbon Ultra and the Jet 1250/320/85cm on the Naish Wing-Surfer 4m.

So much fun,

Enjoy,

Nice. That is pretty much what I want to do, right there. Looks like a mix of 5m and 7m, regular and pro wing models. Do you have any info on wind strength? Looks pretty light, 10-15kt? I can see one windsurfer planing outside, so could be windier than it looks?

Nice gong wing action colas and I could do with a wing right now as the wind is not in my favour. I noticed the gong wing prices starting to crip up and getting closer to other brand prices with shipping and that's not including sales time.

Well, the don't creep up in that there are no price raises (in euros... I guess UK and OZ see an increase in their local currency), but new models come out (the "plus") that are more expensive to make: the window, stiffer profile, ... basically you have more choice, since you can still buy the "normal" model.

juandesooka, yup, seems pretty light, no windcaps, the windsurfers and kiters were not on planing, except for some parts where you see a strong gust blackening the water surface.

I wonder if the first jump on the blue duotone was an attempted Wing Megaloop ......

I cannot even begin to imagine what weird stuff people are going to attempt with these. It cannot be long before someone uses a wave as a ramp and does a full 360 loop.

That is mad!!
When you consider the wind direction is cross offshore and he is often riding straight into the wind you can see the wind wing really has a unique ability to ride waves upwind.

The airs he is doing landing back onto the wave face in that wind direction are only really possible on a wing

Next level RAD. I am stoked to see more and more videos where talented riders are pushing limits and showing the potential of these wings. Thinking back to those frustrating initial couple of months with the kiter/windsurfer naysayers going on about how lame this is ... this video is now locked and loaded for "STFU Haters" duty.

A few minutes of my Downwind run from Snapper to North Burleigh in 25 knots on Sunday I was riding my prone set up Axis 90 , 75 mast , short fuse and 400 rear wing. Duotone 4m & the Fanatic 6-7 great combo & awesome fun. Maxing out at just under 35kph .

Had a good session yesterday afternoon after work. The wind took a bit to kick in, but I managed to get this minute of actual riding before my GoPro battery went dead and unfortunately missed the entire "real" session.

Wind was still light ish, and Fisherman's tends to ramp up over the golf coarse, making it probably better for kiting as there's not much on the water. I was riding the Hover 110 and Jet 1250/320/85cm. Super fun, wish I had more to show.

Enjoy,
