Great videos, thanks Colorado....lol
On their website, choosing your wing size, the XL is recommended for 14 - 22 nds.

I would love to see the guy in the second slingshot video get up and going again, he is probably not going to make it on his own.

We want to see real people climbing on the board and get up on the foil.

Those heavy edited videos are boring and useless!

Thanks foilcolorado for posting some real life stuff.

I need some too.

I do not think I look anything like that on a wing.

^^^^^ possibly the most interesting thing is the guy doing the video has the wing in one hand and the camera in the other. That says a lot about how doable this thing is.

FYI, this is a proto of a wingfoil-specific board by Gong. Note the twin front straps, and no rear strap.

Also the useful trick of having different colors for the two leashes, very useful when trying to grab the wing after a wipeout, or disentangling them....

Looks nice but in this video the wing is like a paddle on a downwinder: once you fly you don't need it any more.

I would love to see them waterstart...

Had a go playing in some real swell and bumps yesterday. I have to admit a little harder than I was anticipating. I've had some great DW runs on the bay and in smaller conditions. First mistake, too much foil. Should have gone straight for the 1650. But heaps of fun all the same.

Here's a quick vid with some of the more surfy glides (there's plenty of DW where I am using the wing a lot, but thought I'd just share the gliding aspect.

enjoy,

Ride safe,

I'm just looking at that and thinking how much fun it would be to just be foiling those bumps without a big wing in the way.

I have seen a few vids of guys DWing on the wings now and in all conditions I have seen the wing would really not be needed and more just gets in the way but understand many might think it will help cross that bridge getting into DW foiling which if it does then all good.

What I will love to see is all these prone foil guys who are anti paddle now go and dw holding a sexy cool looking kite in one hand

Here some more color choices by Gong :-)

Patrice (beard) is on a wing-specific board prototype (less front rocker and more hydrodynamic nose than a SUP foil board)

Diane never touched a foil nor sail before (she is from a pure surfing background).

Some kind of "tutorial" vids:

This vid is not the best quality and the commentary is a little funny but damn it looks like they are having fun!

it also shows a water start on a small board which is interesting and shows a lot of riding with the wing at full depower

The gong team fooling around.

Note that the Gong shaper son, Malo, 54kg is using a 7m2 wing...
