On my 11'8" Josh Hall I'm using a Greenough 4A combination.
As a single I use an 8" 4A
As a 2+1 I use a 7" 4A and 87mm (3.4") DVS side bites from Shapers
I also have an 11' Christenson - I started with a 9" CC fin but now go with an 8"
My take on these Glider type boards is they have such a straight outline and the rails, especially on the Josh and Christenson are like nothing I've seen on any Aussie made versions of these boards. The boards sit very comfortably high on the wave face and the rail locks into the wall eliminating the requirement for large fins. That's my observation anyway.
Yep, that sounds right, I reckon that's pretty much on the money.
Nose riders are a different matter, they need a big arsed fin to lock them in, but not a glider.
I recall some major shaper once saying something like that about single fins, it went along the lines of "from 6 to 9 ft, it 1 inch per foot, after 9 feet, all bets are off."
