Got out around 2pm on Sat, had a bit of a chat to the guy on the one design.Got caught in a couple of the torrential down pours, the Etchells were only 50 metres away but could not see them. Wind speed seem to fluctuate from 5 to 25 knots depending on the rain squalls

Just looked at Saturdays forecast. Looks like the serenity might get a run.

Last Saturday turned out to be a light but enjoyable afternoon on my Lechner.

Well done to Peter D (F2 Lightning) and Lyndon (Starboard Serenity) who smashed out a 1st and a 2nd with the lead changing a number of times. Nice to see some close racing going on up the front.

Next Saturday will be the last day of Racing for the summer season at Gosford Sailing Club, the long range forecast is looking like 10-15 knots, which would be a perfect way to finish the season. I hope everyone can make it for the last race of the season, and hopefully a few drinks in the club afterwards.

Anyone from other clubs is more than welcome to join us, it'd be great to have a larger sailboard fleet for the last heat of the year. Any board with any sail is more than welcome.

Hi John thanks for the update re revised start time,forecast is looking slightly better

Good afternoon everyone,

Tomorrow is looking good (sunshine at last and a forecast 12-17 knots) for the first day of our winter racing. Note we no longer have a start boat throughout winter, so the starts will be much less formal (either beach starts or we can synch our watches on the beach for 5 or 10 minute countdowns.

As discussed last Saturday, we'll aim for a 1pm Start (I know Lyndon may not make that due to work, so we may run a few short races instead of one long one). Lyndon also advised we may have a new starter who he met during the week, so the short races may work best to introduce a new starter as well.

I'll aim to be at the club around 12 noon. See you all there.

Nice sail yesterday at GSC, ? Final NE for this season, took my GPS with me we covered 33km, certainly shows how much distance race boards can cover

Hi. PD said he would likely join us soon. I think the sentimental value of the mistral is working its charm. I just need to get the track working. I also needed a pin for the track. I remembered the chap with the sputnik 280 for sale had a pin. Also he has masts I needed to rig kids sails. So Guess what ... yes ... another buy. I now have that sputty. Ill bring it down next time.

Great to see you got that old Lightning on the water Heavy1, thanks for the photo. Good luck with your winter racing.

Great fun afternoon last Saturday, interesting to get a ride on a different type of board for a change. Would be really interesting in planing conditions, I think the F2 Comet may come out in front then. Great to have Paul out with us as well!

The forecast for this Saturday is looking great, If you've managed to secure the mast track on it, you might find people offering to borrow that F2 Comet if the forecast holds true :)
