Come on Androo give the subbie a workout...lemmie know that I'm not "dreaming" about this board. I'm off to France & Spain for a month on friday & i'll try & watch what you think of the subbie. Unfortunately not a surf holiday (thats next yr maldives.yeeeeow), but we do hit SanSebastion for a coupla days so...get it wet!! I'm still amased how this thing goes..!

I'm not sure what these boards have done to Vanders he has gone walk about since receiving his subs,might be fine tuning at a secret location.

Dude i'd LOVE to but she's only had one ride so far, otherwise its been pretty bad for waves down here at the moment and i'm off to Bali for 2 weeks today (would love to take her) so will be a couple before she gets another run

REALLY wish I'd brought the SubX to Bali, the rental boards here are woeful and the SubX would FLY here at lacerations

After a month off surfing, touring France & Spain, I got back heavily jet lagged & went for a surf at Palmie Sydney, glassy 2'-3' not bad at the start & yep after a couple of waves the Soueaster smashed into it & completely feked it, but to me the thing was the subx felt great, I was wonky but the board no probs.
Androo, Vanders any other subX riders, how are they going, what do you think, tried any different fin configs?

Mate I've had very little wave time due to work commitments and still haven't sought out the right waves to try it on.
I just need to commit to only taking it and just learn to ride it. It just feels sooooo skatey compared to what I've always ridden but I won't let it beat me.

It will be with me on my next Sydney trip so we should catch up?

Sorry broo, waves been pumping but I've been solely on the Hot Log and loving it.

Only had two surfs on the SubX so far and stoked with it, summer beachies is what I brought her for though so she'll get her fair share over the next couple. In addition though, I think I might have sold one for grant, one of my mates borrowed it a few weeks back and fell in love, and another lb dude I met on the beach also took the details after giving it a very thorough look over...

Let me know when you hit the syd-ah-nee.See what we can do.

I know mate, it's about putting in the work now to set things up to give me more time to do what I want in the not too distant future.

Responsibilities of family and educating kids play a pretty significant factor too, we've decided though that as soon as the daughter finishes school in 3 years we're moving closer to the waves.

Had the subx out in 2'+ Sydney **** today, set it up, MR TFX +trailer to see how it felt..woah talk about loose but good. Definately want to do this something bigger, twill be fun me thinks.

BTW..There's a Miller SUB X on ebay at the moment, in Sydney, starting @ $495..6' 6" + 9" single fin

Just lookin' at Grants website, looks like he's moving back to Sydney for a while after some accomodation probs. That's gotta be a hassle moving all the gear n all.

Drats..foiled by the dredded "bump" police..... as punishement I therefore impose a 24 stubbie beer fine on myself. Seeing as it Friday I'll see how many I can get thru tonight. My hangover will be the pennance. Er wot does "bump" mean on this interweb thingy. Anyway Grants still gotta move back to Syd-ah-knee!. Oh a bumping we will go,a bumping we will go, beer oh the merry oh a bumping we will go. (think i need a surf) sigh...

Update on the SubX

Surfed Carlton River Mouth left on this the other week. Was well overhead and freight train lefts... The SubX went siiiiiick, the early entry helped me make the take off which on this wave you MUST nail it or you're behind it. The main thing was the speed of the board to make the sections and it just pulses along, no ridiculous pumping its just set your line and cruise. Only two of us were making it, one of the locals who shapes his own pretty sweet boards and me, and it was definitely the board and not my skills... that is for sure!!! Sadly the wave allowed little for turning, a few speed checks which it handled easily but i'd love to get it on some big carvable faces, and a right cos i'm a massive kook on the lefts...

Beer tax now at No 10 & crusin' ..Androo dunno what gives with the Subbie but for a board born for 1'-3' it shure do seem to go well up to o/head +.
