I dunno Chrispy.
I don't watch / read / listen to any or much of what Mick posts, and the stuff I do look at I generally think is absolute drivel.
Some of it I laugh at, not for the reason the authors of the content intended.
But I'm glad he bothers to post it - it's dead enough in here without losing him.
The post in the Magnificent Bastard Road Trip thread was probably out of order, but I didn't bother looking at it as I suspected it was drivel, and probably inappropriate, but that is my take on a post in a thread I have nothing to do with.
Particularly in a "Lockdown" thread I think just about anything goes, and if it prompts discussion or argument, well and good - it proves we all may still have a pulse.
I'm posting "My kook adventures on an electric skateboard" FFS, If that's not pathetic, what is?
The more people post, argue, discuss, and disagree, the better.
The more traffic through the forum, the better.
The more ****fights, the more entertaining it is.
I think that is Presidental Decree Number 1.
But I notice there is some vote involving Presidents in the next day or two, so I may be on my way out.....
I'm going to go back and read that topic, good post Prez we need input we won't always agree with each other, this thread cost a friendship Lacey and I had for years but perhaps it showed it wasn't a deep friendship but it went back from 1980.
And I think when you see Lacey on the beach in 6 months, you'll find the friendship is still there.
And the easiest way to find out sooner is to go and find him and say "Hello".
Nozza the personal relationship counsellor.
Lacey vs. Mick in lockdown was getting way too heavy, but all the more reason to take a step back and say "what the **** was that about?"
Lacey withdrew, where he should have just cared less.
i PM'd Lacey about getting back in, he said he's not missing it, but I bet he's reading this.
I used to have a program on my computer, back in the 1980's, that generated a clever saying every time you turned it on.
Called Murf.
Things like "There is no limit to how bad "things" can get".
That came up when I turned on my computer on a March day in 1987, where my primary client had just gone broke, owing me $70,000, which was a lot back then. When I probably turned over $70,000 per year.
Other stuff I am trying to remember, it was really good.
But one that I can remember was something like "Not many things matter much, and very few things matter at all"
This started off being relevant, but I may have lost my way after a dozen cup day beers
