Ok Captain, I really wanted to respond to your last 2 comments on this thread. The first time a Qld man in his 30's was reported to have died with C19. Several stories subsequently followed up confirming the man had a history of serious health issues & shortly after that it was confirmed he did not die "with" C19.

Very little information was supplied for the first man reported to have died "with" C19 last week & it was several days before the stat officially showed on health.gov.au. after you posted about it. I almost asked you if the man you spoke of was Aussie & had passed in Oz just as the stat showed up to suggest it was indeed Australia.

And then soon after that a 2nd one showed up. Suddenly there were "2" men in their 30's reported to have passed "with" C19.

Again very little information reported publicly and all information mentioning these guys that I have seen is within a short similar summary.

Its difficult to respond in this context without further details when previous C19 fatalities have been from road incident head traumas or premorbidities.

Its always very confronting when someone passes away as demonstrated by the young nurse cobra posted about under your 2nd post. The reality is people are always passing away, just as people are born.. I'm going to give you all a break to consider the stats for yourself & I will rejoin the conversation later with a little more water under the bridge provided with clearer information.

I feel that the current "state(s)" of play, my opinions & hopes have passed expiry...this is where we are now & I hope it all ends years before I expect. I wish you all we!!

So are you saying it is too late for you to save the world,or that you have given up trying to hoodwink people with fake,divisive, conspiracy theory propaganda?

I'm reading that borders could be closed for years not months as I first thought, no overseas travel likely for sometime. I'm not asking for conspiracy commits, I'm asking what do you guys think? Months or years?

Probably early next year for travel and border openings, I reckon a vaccine will be on the table before the years end and it will be mandatory for travel o/s.

Last pandemic lasted 2 years. So I my view next year a write off too.

That's a hard one Mac.
i think there will be no Vaccine developed In time. so this will stick around for a couple of years. Oz will probably have covid restrictions in play SD and border control. As for travel, I really can't see it happening. Maybe for places like Brazil US where they can't control anyway.somthing like 5million infected. And those places will never have covid control until a vaccine is developed and works.

Anyway down here on the. South Coast NSW we now have a cluster.

Stopped for a beer on the way back today from a big job today . No one from Sydney drinks there it's not a classy place LOL.

I have to work in the covid hotspot tomorrow. Storm/Flood damage. I'll just keep away from people and stay in my own car.

Im a grand father who has grand kids living with us at the moment. So I don't want to put myself and family at risk.

Travel is going to be a while!

Here in NZ at 100 days community free infection with only cases being imported from NZ Citizens retuning and discussion to open travel bubble with Cook Islands.
Then yesterday 4 probable cases from one family that is all over Auckland. Yesterday we got indication that Auckland going to level 3 (4 the most restrictive) and rest of country less restrictive level 2.
It comes down to contact tracing and notification of people who went to the same places.
The Government is going hard early to get the virus under control!

Well I've tryed to keep it a discussion, not an argument. Steering clear of emotive language & not using derogatory terms due to people having differing views. And I've come to the same conclusion, yes I view things differently & with time have only grown stronger in my beliefs.

But anyway 2 or three years would be highly optimistic with current consensus for policies handling this situation. I'm thinking more like 2025 and then we'll have the "new normal". I doubt things will ever be the same again. With or without a highly unlikely vaccine.

Been doing once a week Covid cooking from the bloke that did the "End Of Days Bolognaise".
Two weeks ago Pumpkin and Rosemary pasta, which is really weird for me since I don't really like pasta, and generally require meat in a meal.




Last week a re run on "Chuck a sickie soup"




This week, "Fancy Pants Beef Stew", or Osso Bucco.
Really suss on cooking this, he described the meat as "strange looking **** you see in the butchers window. For me it reminded me of weird crap my mother used to try and cook.



All have been really good, although I don't think the Osso Bucco will get a second run.
Fills in an afternoon when the alternative is standing outside in 12 degrees temperature with wet feet, water blasting the paving I should have done two years ago

that figure of 11% for asthma is nationally. its a little misleading as Melbourne has one of the highest asthma rate per capita in the world.
there's been world studies done and i would say even more victorians would be at risk. if his asthma theory is true.

we'll probably continue to tweak the covid protocols until we have a happy point. increase activities to a point that the scales dip.
dip to much and have covid overrun us and burden a heavy hospital occupancy.

again as for QLD its business as usual.
as for vic they're on the downward curve ATM and showing promise.

I have decided workboots without socks is the best - bit of air around the feet rather than sodden socks.
I could go gumboots, but in 30 years of working outside as a surveyor in mud, I couldn't come to terms with them. You sweat in to the socks, so everything ends up wet anyway. And the socks end up bunched up around your feet.

Today I continued on from there, managed to finish the pool surround bit.


And Greeney, don't be shy, the active constituent so far has been Coopers Sparkling, for cooking and pavers.
Lucky I have another 3 weeks to fill in, or if Chairman Dan has his way, possibly 12 months.
That will require a lot of Coopers.
