Brazo's dominated round 3. Look out

Did anyone see Slaters 4.17 - the greatest 4.17 ever ! He should have rewarded for that effort. Sure he did not land it perfectly but he still rode out of it and dominated the rest of that wave. What you doing WSL?

He fell.
Style, power, flow???
Had none of them..

Luck, yes but I reckon the score is about right an incomplete first turn and a few flicks off the top.

Still a complete freak.. the best 4 you will ever see..

It was amazing to watch!! Couldn't believe it.

Then, because I am a loser who scores every wave in my head to see how close I get to the judges, I tried to work out how they would score it. I couldn't work it out.

In my mind he fell, but then it was also completely awesome and you want to reward that.

In the end I think what the judges did was judge the second part of the wave, the part after he stood from the fall.

Is that right or wrong? Who knows! I wanted both surfers to win. Kelly was cool about it though.

I see where you blokes are coming from.....but i would have given kelly a 7 minimum. Fluke or not he did it. Innovation and pushing boundaries. Yeh luck comes into the tour a lot,just not as noticeable as that wave.......the thing is after all the luck he calmly went on to smash the wave.....I take it back...it's a 8 from me

Degree of difficulty - to come out of it should but probably doesn't count
how did they know he didn't mean to do it? That was an assumption. They were right but still. I'd hate to judge it, deserved to score better but guidelines are guidlines. should have been a 5

Sad state of affairs this chicks final - why do they not have JetSki assist? Wonder if the blokes will get it? If my recollection serves me correctly they were going in and on about the benefits of it in the men's semis. Sexist ? Surely not ! They always give the chicks the crap conditions compared to the men's.

Hurely on - no real big upsets although JJF lost out and Freddy P has retired after winning his heat with a perfect 10 against GM !

I just watched this interview,one of the best I've ever heard.Outstanding from Freddy P.
Such a positive and happy man and wanting to work with the youth,thats all class.

I really enjoyed that comp. On the jet ski subject,yep it was rigged.

In the Medina and De Souza heat,they both tried to paddle back out,Medina gave up and got the ski,then De Souza got washed back and did the same.....it made me feel good to watch them struggle to get out.....just like us kooks at main beach

Cracking clip bro...for me I would rather watch girls longboard than 90% of blokes...they never seem to force the board as much and it looks a lot more graceful
