That is terrible, I am about watch some replays,didn't get a chance to watch live..

Probably give that one a miss although would like to know what happened?

Bad luck though, watch guys get barreled all morning at pipe with three guys and you get to paddle out when it turns to ****..

I would want 10 points just for taking off...

If you missed it Bede took off on a bomb first wave of the heat and got smashed,taken out of the water by water safety and stretchered to the ambo off to hospital,he hit the reef hard with his hip.

geez mick nearly made me tear up...he held his emotions well.

i know its in the wsl intrsests to get Mick talking....but let him get through the comp and the man will open up...he has done it openly before....stop being vultures

If you read his book you'll see the family is close and he took the death of his younger brother hard..

He really is a champ and i cant believe the year he has had

Really want Mick to win - think he will coz he surfed like a man possessed today.
adriano was surprisingly impressive as well didn't realise he was that good at pipe.
nice to see Kelly on a longer board too

Cops are saying it was an OD.
I'm watching the later heats of the day,mind blowing stuff that heat with Kelly,Mick and JJ was epic.

Word on the street here was similar. Hope it was more accidental if that is the case. Life is tough at this time of the year for many people. Make sure you reach out to anyone who you think might be even slightly vulnerable.
