Well wouldn't you know the GC was blessed with epic surf for the past 3 weeks.Today marks the start of the Quicky Pro trails day and the surf has turned to poop with a strong NNE wind.
on the news last night they ran a story on why 2014 was a year to forget for Julian Wilson,his mother had a relapse of breast cancer and his father was also dignoused with cancer,both have since had the all clear.

Local boys are always hard to go past.

For me
Kolohe is the value bet..
He has been on fire in and out of the water...

He would have been in more tunnels then a rat since he has been in OZ...

Few head dips on the backside too I'd guess..

I love Steph,she has style and a winning smile,looking forward to her taking Laynes title.Fannings all over it at the moment,after watching him at Jeffreys Bay Ive thought he's the one to beat regardless of whats gone down since then,which is a lot.

I just caught up with the girls event on the Heat Analyser. Wow the waves are really small now

Don't get me wrong still way better than we get, but for a world class event..Given what has been pumping over the last few weeks how un lucky have they been..

Any idea on swell picking up

They are saying they only need 3 full days to complete both male and female. The only hope is a new swell on the weekend JB or move to d-bah.

Yea mate interesting move and Kelly took the loss like the champ he is,,I've never liked Fred p and that was the icing on the cake......josh Kerr had a blow up! And for me 2 cents micro had every right to take that wave everyone's knows that medina would of done the same if it was him...man the guys the world chump ts the first comp of the year hardly worth the bs he carried on with wsl should grow a pair and suspend him for bells!i bet Jeremy Flores would be interested in the punishment gabe gets

The only enjoyment I take from watching something like that is knowing that surfing, for me, has never been taken that seriously.

Well, at least I've had full quota of comp surfing for the year so I don't need to watch any more of it in 2015.

Looking at the score sheets it seems the Brazo's came to play for keeps at Snapper. Sounds like one of them though lost his cool. Shame. I imagine he is getting slammed on the Aussie websites.

The one who just won it, Filipe Toledo, blew my tiny little longboarding mind: so much power AND an air game. The best surfers of the finals definitely won today. Carissa Moore ripped the crap outta the place too. It was almost good enough to forgive all the bouncing and dumbass nose-picks and dull reverses of the preceding days.

.... But geez i bet Julian Wilson regrets letting Filipe on to that last one.
