Yes amazing foils and I gave demoed the new 1130 about to drop the pump in that thing is like nothing I've ever ridden .

The DW wings that are coming this month (hopefully) are phenomenal. I know guys are frothing the surf wings, I think they are decent wings, but the R series are truly next level good, yet to ride anything else in the same ball park.

What were you riding before ? mis the glide that good so it doesn't drop of foil ? How's the turning on waves , I ride axis sf 1030 atm

I was riding a mixture of different foils.
the turning is next level rolls so smoothly from one side to the other and drives through the turns increasing speed.
I have winged it now a few sessions as will.
out points everybody . Nice and smoooth and low ish stall speed. glide is amazing .
sorry have not ridden AXIS so I can not comment.

Have ridden the 850 and 980. On the shopping list as they are that good. Props to the Code team.

I recently converted to Code without demoing after reading reviews and seeing some locals rip on it, 3+ years into my foiling journey, 98kgs, 850S/150AR is all I need for ding/prone, 980S for sup and 720S for kite/tow. Masts are solid and fast. I find the Code foils are very consistent and pitch stable throughout the speed range and I've found no need to mess around with shimming.

I'm super hard on gear with my weight and the stress I put on the foil systems loading up and boosting high jumps kiting and have broken other systems.

They ride bigger than the size suggests. I came from sabfoil, armie, gofoil, unifoil and finally Code. With all the other brands, something was always missing or there were limitations in the range.

It's been a long and expensive journey finding one brand that covers me for all foil disciplines that I do, prone/kite/tow/ding and sup foil, many thanks to the Code team!

I've no brand affiliation whatsoever, paying sticker price for gear. If you're an intermediate/advanced foiler, Code will satisfy all your needs IMO.

Just demoed prone 850s/150/75/ medium fuse.
I put it in same mast position I ride my Armstrong 925 and it was perfect no need for any adjustment. I liked the way it takes off no overfoiling even on steeper drops you can keep it down then pop up when ready similar to my 925.
The code turns really easily and is pitch stable and pumps and turns easier than the 925 for sure, but it can still drop on the pump if you are going with a current or heading into the wind.

The other HA foil I've ridden is the lift 120/26 carve/ short fuse, and I feel that turns the easiest and pumps the slowest of all 3 foils before collapsing but I think that is due to it's larger 26 carve tail.

The Armstrong 925 still feels the fastest through the water with least amount of drag with the code a close second ,and the lift 120 the slowest probably due to the fixed tail again.

I was hoping for a foil that turned like the 120 but with the speed of the 925 and maybe the code could be it with the ability to change tails shim them and use different fuse lengths but I want to avoid going down the rabbit hole if possible.

If I had to chose a new setup atm it would be the code.

My first crack at long range drone footage filming Ben Tardrew on a Code Sup DW on the Gold Coast , he was riding a proto around the 850 mark the board is 7-9 x 17.

Great video, the swell was running almost 90 degrees to the wind chop, looked like a bit of pumping going on.

Yeah far from a perfect run , I would have struggled to stay up Ben is the master , he was also on the phone to me most of the time through head phones , wasn't even puffing .

No like the 120 is known for great turning in the current era.

I'm too deep into the unifoil world to switch to code (as much as the hype is real) but I'm considering tagging a long via their SUP paddle. Will be used mostly for SUP foil surf and maybe the odd downwinder.Anyone used one yet? If so thoughts on weight, design, flex, quality vs say a kenalu, quickblade, starboard etc

I have one. They are not big like the Quickblades. Price is good. It bites the water well and I recommend it. Talked to Marcus about making a bigger one but he said the bigger blades put a lot more strain on your shoulders and he was not keen for that reason. Tried the Ona QB and it is a lot bigger, more powerful and slower through the water.

How does the code paddle compare to a QB UV88 for example? Smaller or bigger?

Amazing thanks for the feedback. Yeah mid 80 blade size is what I'm after so it suits me as I'm a light/higher cadence paddler but my Kenalu 74 which I used to use for SUP surfing is cut a bit short for foiling.Hah I can't go near QB I've snapped 3 of them!

As I'm mainly a prone foiler with only a bit of sup foil on the side I've probably narrowed it down to the code paddle, another kenalu paddle or maybe the starboard carbon foil paddle

Few pics from the day , I'm riding the 980 S. Ben & Craig were on the 770 R and Guy on the other wing was on an Axis Spitfire. it was a fast pace but in the end the Suppers gapped us , they just run so straight and we need to bear off a little. So much fun and great to watch the Sup guys work their magic linking bumps , I learnt heaps.

That run looks like such cruisie fun.

Yeah Northerlies are great for DW but they destroy all the surf , so it's a great option .

That would make it better for DW wouldn't it, no cross swell confusion etc , more like a big bay run

Its pretty technical, in that your pretty much constantly cutting left, so the faster higher aspect foils make it easier. We also get east swell sometimes with the northerlies, definitely not like a bay run then, plenty going on. I'd say it never really feels like a bay run actually, there is always some form of swell, but that makes it fun.

Ok good to know , That makes sense about having to cut left as the NE wind is always pushing onshore slightly.We always have some sort of ground swell from either south to east mixed in down here too which makes it harder, I was thinking being further north you might get odd days without any ground swell mixed in ,a bit like North Queensland.
