Yes 60L good for your weight. I'm 70kgs and could easily go the 50L.
Should be fine as your only board in WA, I still have a 90L board which I've decided to keep but not sure if it will get much use anymore.

Ah feck I just rode the RS1150. Not giving it back, goldilocks size for 100kg+. Glide, turning, speed and pump all better than the GT1400. Low end is only slightly lower than the GT1400 and top end slightly lower than the RS1000, perfect for me. If you are 80kg the RS1000 would be the one.

Oh nice one, glad you liked it, I was thinking about a GT1400 for low wind, but by the sounds of it its not necessary.

What about the RS1000, does it still has a place in your quiver?

The RS1150 has a great low stall speed I found, so maybe the 2 wing quiver is RS1150, GT1250, but they are so close together, or just one wing RS1150...

I will go 1000 and 1150 I think. Bear in mind that is focusing on riding waves and turning. I would like an RS850 instead of the RS1000 for bigger stuff but they do not exist. There will be a GT1400 for sale soon I live in WA so can wait for wind which we have no shortage of.

Yes I agree, a RS850 would be great for kiting too at my weight!

The 1150 is a pump machine and super fast. I found the turning slower and easily overpowered in the surf. For me the 1000 only requires a tiny bit more effort for a **** tonne more reward. However the 1150 has a place in my quiver - perfect for demo'ing and for DW runs in Perth as well as prone DW runs.

Rode 1150 again today after a session on the 1000 yesterday (Both wingding). The 1150 is incredibly pitch stable compared to the 1000. It was ridiculous how easy it is to ride. Cannot wait to sup foil it. Quiver killer.

I am a dog with 2 bones, deciding between 1000 and 1150 -- Hilly and Rich are making is so much worse. LOL.

What you weigh ? Surely that is a major factor. Hilly is a big dude.

I am a medium dude, 75-80kg. Sadly also medium skill and getting past medium age, though I am XL on effort.

I think I'll go 1150 for the safer bet, give up a little of the speed and dexterity for a bit better low end (sacrifice some treble for the bass). Hopefully someone locally will get a 1000 I can demo, feel the magic first hand, decide from there if it fits.

I'm 100-105kgs, winging and the RS1150/FTS14.5 is great, low end is crazy, good turning, stable and forgiving, top end is fast enough for flat water and in harbour chop (<1m) and in the sketchy Sydney winds 16-17+ knots, it's all I need.

Having ridden both.
At your weight depending on what you want to achieve I would go the 1000 over the 1150.

Hello, I am about to pull the trigger on an impulse buy. Been following this thread as an Armstrong rider. I've only ridden Armstrong and been very happy with them. As I've progressed I've noticed that wobble coming out of a higher speed turn. Confident on the sup and Wing Foil.

Would the go foil 1300 and 1000 be good as a two wing quiver to cover lighter smaller waves or larger waves more wind?

What tails would you recommend as well?

I have not used a 1300, looks too wide for what I do. The 1150 is hard to go past for a 1 foil quiver with the FTS 14.5 and an FTS 12 or FTL 12 for stronger wind/larger waves.

At 100kgs I started with the RS1150 FTS14.5, and have also bought a RS1000 for days over 20+knots or move aggressive carving on sinker board.

Have a demo RS13000 on the way to compare with the GT1400

0 maintenance with GF, just like armie.

Agree with Hilly, the RS1150 can be a one wing quiver.

There's no maintenance needed . it's GoFoil!

@hilly so after 3 months on GF, any regrets?

It has been two months for me and so glad I changed, the steps are great, strong mast and fuselage. It's nice to just concentrate on riding and not worry about tuning

Yeah 100% agree, all floppy and feel really cheap. they need to make quality covers like Armstrong

Lol na I use Moses kiting and have great foil covers and Armstrong. GF is pricing themselves as a premium brand but covers are like a wet sock

Aesthetic? They look fine.

I've had 3 out of 4 foil bags split and shred the fabric in the middle of the leading edge. Easy enough to repair but a pain that it happens.

The new foil and tail bags have gaps at the ends and the tips of the foil stick out. All it takes is another 30mm of sewing at each end to close the gaps.

The mounting point of the foil, tail, and the fuselage on the mast have no coverage at all.

The mast bag is open at both ends. It just slides off. I added velcro to close the top, a strap and buckle at the bottom, and a home made fuselage cover.

The padding is very thin. It should be 5mm EPE the same as every surfboard day bag.

Zippers along the trailing edge are not a good idea. If you drop the foil and it lands on the zipper there is no padding. Drop it on something hard and you have a smashed foil. Velcro is a little better than a zip because it is soft. A padded flap would be better again.
