People talk about conspiracy theorists suddenly discovering what they have thought is a pile of crap. It is rare, but does happen.
In this case, you are the one that will need the therapy. Therapy to make you accept that you are discussing something with someone that has no idea and doesn't want to understand. He has his viewpoint and has found a stage where he can get attention by being on it. To listen or discuss logic would mean that he would lose the attention.
Whether he believes this rubbish is irrelevant. He just wants to be different. If that means just repeating random rubbish that people say to him about conspiracies, well that's just the way it is.
For your therapy, I would recommend a novel approach. Keep discussing this. Keep arguing points. Just forget completely about the need to convince him. It's not going to happen.
