Don't worry about those Orca things Suba. Gentle giants. You biggest issue will be the winds and cold water down that way. Surfed that coast of SA a few years back and its gets pretty cold I can assure you. Had some good waves though. If you like the mountains make sure you head up to Barlioche on the main land and then maybe head for the deep south. Cross into Chile and catch the cargo ships up the coast - amazing journey. When you get off you will see point after point after point after point. Other surfers will greet you with open arms, welcome you into their homes and introduce you to the girls. Heaven. No crowds until you hit Pichilemu and Punta De Lobos. Cold water but you should be braced for it by then.
Ive actually had a some great/really fun arvo session over the last few weeks. Nothing big but nice shape and super enjoyable. Not to excited about the water temp though
Even last night had about 34 minutes and was well worth getting cold for..Im really not looking forward to the shoulder work out when real winter turns up
Clean bombs on the beaches with a light offshore for those that did the early, some really nice random peaks coming through with stand up barrels if you were in the right spot. Surprisingly not many out.
I had sick waves this arvo. Mellow crew of 6-8 and a peak working as good as I've seen it for quite some time. Even the water seemed unseasonably warm.
Yep had fun locally. I took out my Dominator after last night finding my VG too quick as a quad and couldn't be bothered to change them out. Hated the Dominator and regretted not making a board change
Oh OK. You're distinctive, so I'll try to say hello next time. You were in the same area the next day too (or probably the day after, I lose track) but I went slightly further along, saw you in the distance. But I've damaged my MCL pretty badly on Monday so I'm out of the water for some time. Actually I was impressed by your willingness and ability to catch everything, including some gems that day. You outnumber my wave count by about 5:1 and you rip. Good stuff.
If you call me out in the water (once I'm back in) you can have a shot. That one is 5'11" x 18 1/2" x 2 3/8".
