Should be waves today, but I'm going to be stuck at home waiting for my new board to arrive. Coz they reckon they're just going to leave it on the doorstep if I'm not home or I can pick it up from the depot 160km away.

No prob mate...I did end up getting restless & checked the surf. It was a great day for diving, looked like high visibility..due to no waves what-so-ever. Bit of swell on the horizon passing by though...mowed the lawn, pruned some hedges & been on the phone asking where the fark is my board. Supposed to come by 5pm today & they're using a diff courier to ones I know that always come before 10am.

Speaking of Pics Mac, looking forward to seeing those East side Bali pics when you catch up with your son

funny question as yesterday morning on an isolated stretch of the coast I was surfing with one other bloke and some reasonably sized fish started jumping right next to him (abt 15m from me) and so I asked him politely if it was anything to worry about and he just jumped off his board and dived down for a look before declaring that there wasn't!

Been lots of small schools if fish the last 3 days but no big salmon bursts like I used to see in Stockton. Getting close to that time when I may not paddle out till 30 mins after the sun has risen and others are about

i just don't know if that holds true. sure, wait of the sun and get out before dark, stay away from river mouths etc, but must shark sightings and attacks that i've read about all seem to be in the daytime

clearwater has got to be smart thou. at least you 'might' see them and better still they might see that your not a seal or a turtle or something

Fixed it for ya TB - thats my weather report from the Central Coast this morning.

Although to be honest we had the best w/e of weather for about a month with lovely blue skies both days, lots of waves (and crowds) not big but heaps of fun.

You should have come up for a visit OB!
