Whangamata Surf Report Wednesday, February 13, 2013
6:26am: Some nice waves on this morning with 2-2.5ft of swell (E 10 secs) and a light offshore that should blow all day. The swell will hang in there for the next 24 hours or so with more offshores tomorrow, so there will be plenty of fun waves about.
Sitting under the mount now Ted gotta keep Mummy happy will go for a666 in the morn , did a bit of dealing in totara st
head out from pilot bay across the channel and have a surf at the island on yr 666 - should be entertaining!! Did you get a new wettie? How come you did not answer the TB question.....??? Is it that bad ??
Tassiedevel said... Towball / Ted where are these spots in NZ , south or north island
Its a secret somewhere in WA.
Too funny!!
They are on the North Island - the piece of coast is known as The Coromandel on the east coast SE of Auckland. A great spot for waves when its on. It is only 2 hrs from Raglan so the coast to coast surf trip in a day can be easily achieved if need be.
This is one of my fav spots over there.....great place for a swim on a hot day! If anyone is ever planning a trip over that way give me a bell and I give you lots of spots / ideas for your trip. Its heaven.
It has a right hand point that sort of works but can get some really good beachies....after a surf in the winter you can come in and dig a hole to warm up!!! Sure beats having to light a fire. Do not worry about the crowds - just like that for 4 weeks in Jan and over easter otherwise its pretty much empty. Heaven.

new toys!!!! I love getting new toys,.....enjoy. Have a great day TB and if you are stopping in at Makatue for a pie I would love a report - they used to be good pies in the old days. Did you know its almost impossible to get a proper mince n cheese or steak n cheese pie over here.......and I have never seen a bacon n egg one either. Although we often make a big bacon n egg pie at home....yum!!!
