Hey yes TB has had a board or two shaped by the same guy, he is a fantastic shaper....surfboard maker from start to finish, he's an all round great guy to deal with too!

The rails are are foiled yes, Roger Hall is only interested in creating quality, while he will do his utmost to accomodate every idiosyncrasy a customer may have, he will politely advise against something that would perhaps inhibit a boards performance. He will offer an alternative that he thinks will be far more successful.

This board was fairly tricky I think? 6'10" , 24 1/8", 3.5". However I reckon he's done an amazing job... I have surfed it a few times and it works just fine. The fins are Lokbox Keel fins hope that was what you were after?

I've added 2 photo's of a surfboard I pulled from a rubbish tip, It is very worse for wear..but I grabbed it initially to coat over in white enamel and get my nephew to put some art on it , then hang somewhere in my house...On closer inspection it is a Michael Peterson board, no dims and just the word 'Michael' written on the under side. I'd say it is roughly 6'3" length? Would anyone think it a better idea to have it stripped back and fixed up...or continue to cover it over as first thought?...Just thought it may be worthwhile having it fixed up being as though its an MP board?...or two a penny?

Do some homework first. Lots of people like them as is and get their man to do the resto. A friend of mine sold an MP last year for 4k AUD. was in better shape than yours though. Keep us posted how you go. It would need his Signature on the foam for the good cash.

Thanks mate, Yeah I've spoken to probably the one person I'd trust to restore it, he wants to see it in the flesh first. It has the name 'Michael' written in pencil in the foam on the bottom side of it thats all. Yes it is in pretty bad condition. Will post when I know whats happening with it. Cheers!

Where are you located bro? Russ and Corey Graham down here in Torquay glass a lot of Tommy Petersons boards and do really nice restorations from what I have seen

It goes really well TB, I had the best session of my life there a couple of years ago, just 6 out, new groundswell, chest high and peeling for genuinely 100 + metres...doesn't break all that often...still mustn't grumble

Saw this and thought it was apt for this thread

Oh and this by all accounts

Surfing is about a lot more than the board you’re riding. It’s about understanding waves, understanding the limits of the board you’re on, and figuring out exactly how far you can take a million different little factors. Like most surfers on tour, Josh Kerr isn’t a one-stick guy–he’s got a quiver full of surfboards that aren’t just for show.

Haha... But I didn't write it.
Stole it all from the Inertia..

I agree with it though.

Clip is good bit long through skip the lifestyle bits in between each board.
