It would be good to go for a short solo surf now and again to keep sane
Ffs dont got to rainbow or kirra or the best bank at palmy
Spread out
They will close down the beachies if this keeps happening

Ive a question. How do they really know how many have been infected with the very limited testing available ?
Are the numbers right?

Today's lockdown project - rails on a Huon pine / tas oak display board for a mate in the Gold Coast - is amazing how much you can get done when you can't leave home

Mac got into a huge argument yesterday about that one - I can't see the harm in it - we can launch off the beach not far from us in a National Park - so no human contact . Lacey same here mate -still dark here so no- one around - about to find a beach to myself - once again no human contact - and no- one can see me so I don't feel guilty
We are being advised to exercise for half an hour daily for our mental health

Ok but what happens if by some chance your board hits you in the head damn that hurt and looks like at least 6 stitches mb concussion whatever, now you need to seek help, it's the weekend local gp is closed gotta get to a hospital
Doesn't sound like a good idea atm last place I'd want to be. Might even need ambo if it's serious you just don't know. Time to take things seriously for the moment- there's always ramifications if things go wrong

This is worth watching. Guy who made the video says he's a doctor in NY and is in a zoom chat thingy with a whole stack of family (which they show at different times) so no reason to believe he isn't legit.
Plenty of no nonsense info.

Just hit the Vimeo button and it will take you to Vimeo and will play.

Reckon statistics would show much more chance of being injured on the drive/ ride / walk to the beach then in the water . I left the boards in the car this morning and went for a walk ( raining and dark so no human contact ) - just didn't feel right , but if anyone else wants to go out and obey the social distancing laws good luck to them.

Thinking the beaches here will be locked up soon anyway ( apparently big crowds in the beaches around Hobart yesterday )
National Parks are already locked up .

Current government guidelines - listening to Trump the other day - smartest thing I have ever heard him say - actually 1st smart thing I have heard him say - he is concerned the mortality rate from the measures being taken to control corona could outnumber the deaths from the disease itself - that's is not meant to downplay how bad this disease is .

I'm not going to burn anyone taking on an activity on their own. But if you stay home now the quicker we can all play.sorry I just find it selfish. going to work is a lot different than surfing with a few mates because you have some time off

I went kayak fishing the day before NZ lockdown. From back gate to ramp 450m. Came across runner and family with good social distancing.
Hooked one fish and lost it 3m away

With lockdown the Coast guard, surf lifesaving and police are all don't go on the water in case you need to be rescued.
Looking forward to the freedoms we were accustomed to and in retrospect taken for granted.

Thats problem guys .
Its not short term.
Some academics reckon a year before it runs its course.
Personally anyone thinking 3 weeks at home and its over is delusional.

Half the trouble is they are trying to lump all states together when we are all at different stages , different population density's , different borders . Even businesses - we found out Friday night we are considered an essential service ( Veterinary ) , but to stay open we have been advised to lock the front door , do consultations in the phone , have staff only inside the building , take no cash , disinfect the door after every patient , blah , blah , blah -go to the local IGA ( another essential business )it's business as usual - no lines or crosses on the floor , no hand wash , taking cash .

my rant for the day -

Well that's the other half of my mind. I only do the things he tells me and F@&k he comes up with some crazy ****.
