Well we are no good at the early season games for some stupid reason. I am happy to have a gentle bet with ya but you need to give me a start (kills me to even ask!!!) - somewhere around the 8 to 10 points would be fair in the dry conditions they are expecting. If I was the betting kind I would be long Aus at 13+ at $2.30.

Speaking of which I best get onto Sportingbet now and put my AFL and Super 15 bets on. A couple of good AFL matches worth getting on this w/e I reckon.

I also like the look of the Suns and Melb with the start - 20.5 and 19.5 respectively. I also think the Eagles will touch up the Hawks. Throw that all in together and you should get yourself something around the $16 mark.

Could not help myself and just lashed some on the kiwis to win by 12 and under at $4:75. I am not going out tonight so figure instead of buying a few rounds I could put one round on this stupid bet. Probably the worst bet I have put on in yrs.....but good value sadly.

FArrrrk me. After watching delayed coverage its annoying. How many tests are there? Channel 9 so take the piss. They have two other digital channels they could use but want us to watch their crap shows. Sometimes I wonder why they even have those other two channels. Meanwhile the AFL can get 8 games live every week in their TV deals. One of the only real differentiation points the NRL has over AFL is that its INTERNATIONAL yet 9 take the piss instead of pushing it and trying to gain momentum. I am not sure why they are such p*icks.

To the game - well played Aust. Your team is so well drilled and we always farrrk up early. You were able to capitalise and set the platform for a win. I could argue (like Joey did) that it should have been a penalty try but alas Billy was sent and Johnson threw a stupid pass 2 tackles later. That was the game breaker.

I thought Ben Hennat was the best on ground tonight. He carved us up early and was the key difference. Watmough also had a great game. Thurston was good - but he always is. Our two halves had a bad night with the boot. I loved the way the Aussies put pressure on after your kicks - we never seemed to do that. Why???? Anyway well played (again). My only real grip (now you would not be a league supporter unless you bagged the ref) with the ref was his lack of enforcement of the 10m rule in the first 20 mins - your boys were up far to quickly relatively speaking - I shall leave my gripes at that - which probably doesn't make me a true supporter or I would still be blaming the refs next month The souths centre was great as well - maybe they could learn a few things on how to use him. A crying shame he does not get the ball more often whilst running at pace - almost unstoppable.

But just remember - as we all know the world cup in league is the ultimate benchmark. Its all we really care about
