Not at all mate, one bad year is better than one good one every decade. And anyway I can still remeber being at the ground to see them winning a GF.... And we lost a few in my lifetime to, seen plenty of semis too.

SP, I am one who has never talked up Souths chances at taking this years flag.
To be honest I don't think they are gelling enough as a team for 80 mins to talk it up just yet.
Sure Manly look favourites but all I will say is expect the unexpected in the next few weeks. It comes down to who brings their best game on the day. Who would have thought the Warriors would make the GF last year ? I hear Campese is back for Raiders 2nd week if they get thru - stay tuned.

But you're right the finals should be very interesting. Lots of teams in form ATM, could make for a few upsets.

Good to see some passion amongst the league fans

You boys fired up last night ,got to love this time of the year

Although my team crapped into the finals,they have no hope this year,there needs so recruitment and have lacked direction on the park = new captain,Sam is not a leader and can't motivate his team like a Tallis.
Once again they will lose some talent next year and if they don't recruit next year they will be in the bottom half of the ladder.

Can the Titans score a massive upset today,can the Suns win today

Actually Scotty, I slipped the souths jersey on last night to stir up the GF, she's a knights supporter. But I did take off the my jizz rag sign

The Bunnies flew straight home after Titans game at Skilled a few weeks back so not much chance of them sticking around at Newcastle. Important to get that recovery session in next morning.

I have 2 souths jerseys , bought them to wear around the house off the junk trolley years ago from a sports store selling out of all the jerseys they couldnt get rid of
Dont support South at all only bought them because they were cheap .

Hahhaha, mine is kinda old, and a mate wore it one year to the GF and got bailed up in the pisser by some bloke offering hard cash for it, than when that didn't work he was going to forcibly remove it.

Speaking of forcibly removed.... I have a old GC chargers jersey, and every year we go to the GF and get on the piss, to add to the fun dress up is required, it has to retro league , tracksuits, jersey etc... Anyway on the train home from the GF with my chargers jersey on and i get bailed up by this bloke... Name was Brett plowman.... He walked up to me started having a chat, saying he had played for them etc... Then he forcibly removed my jersey and didn't want to give it back till his missus stole his phone and gave it to me, so I'm half nude on the train, all 65 kg of me, with his mobile trying to bargain with the 120 odd kilo ex 2nd rower, negotiations where tense but I got it back.... He was a funny bloke...


Mac, I assume they had hotel rooms, I saw the bus at the hotel, just didn't stay in them overnight? Maybe it was just keeping Isaac out of the many fine drinking establishments of Newcastle .

Just read the SMH and they tell me that SBW is going to the Waratahs next year....earlier I had read the Telegraph and SBW was bringing Quade with him to the Roosters....I can not keep up - the only thing I know is that Manly should have a good crack at backing up this year. Bring on the finals - there are some cracking matches on the cards next w/e by the look of it.

Trouble with the 8 team finals you get some pretty mediocre performing teams eg . Kangaroos , dockers , raiders , broncs , rewarded with finals football .
Good games coming up though , really looking forward to next weekends footy .
