Interesting take cbigsup, and it might be true, I'll try your theory in my fish to replace them for my keel fins. My experience is that the Quobbas work well in Thruster and quad set up so I'm not so sure why they shouldn't be working in a twin fin setup.
For now my fastest set-up I have tried so far was the one that Colas explained with the Quoabbas, 2 large in the front, and to medium center fins in the back.

It is just that the Quobba are not big enough to be used as traditional twin fins, you will not get enough holding surface for most people. Especially if your fin boxes are quite forward. estingo, you may want to try with the two L in the rear boxes, if you spin out too much when placing them in the front boxes.

I guess they could work for lightweights however, or just if you are OK to nurse a bit your turns or use more the rails in turns. The low size of the fins should give you even less drag, so a faster speed in exchange for less hold.

Thanks Colas for the option, if I had FCS fin boxes was it possible to try but my board has future fins so I bought the Quobba's with a future template. With the holding surface of the quobba compared to traditional keelfins is also a difference but the surface of an L size isn't that much smaller than the traditional fins so I'm not quite sure if the theory is correct.

I'm around 80kg and it's true if I use the smaller fins would that be an even faster setup, but as you said I will loosen it up completely with smaller fins and I like the bit of extra hold from the large fins.

anyway always a good discussion point for what works preferably the best for each and every other person's surfability

also give this a try:

I got C-Drive fronts the same size as your rear fins. the I got a tiny J-drive knock off center 3.5" (from Pacific Vibrations) that I use in modified thruster set up.
it really loosened up the tail on my Flow V2! works amazingly well in medium waves! Plenty of drive and hold when needed, and playful when I want some freedom to move!!

Yes! Great setup in smaller waves. When a bit bigger medium or large C-drives all around on my Speeed or Creek give such good drive and control. Has improved my confidence on a bit bigger waves. (Head high) Bob

For a really small center ... ask Troy if he's still got any Grom centers lying around... maybe suggest they do a tiny trailer run as this comes up frequently
