There are a few requirements for approved interstate travellers to enter WA, including:

Everyone else residing in the same household is also required to self-quarantine for 7 days, undertake a PCR or RAT within 24 hours following arrival, and either a PCR test on or after day 6, or a RAT on or after day 7. If the traveller is asymptomatic and returns a negative test on or after day 7, they can leave self-quarantine if they have completed 7 full (24 hour) days of quarantine since entering WA, provided there are no other positive cases in the household. If the traveller is symptomatic, they need to continue isolating until symptoms resolve. All other household members must take a PCR test on or after day 6, or a RAT on or after day 7, and return a negative result, use the G2G Now (external link) app and be subject to in-person checks by WA Police as required while in self-quarantine. Anyone else residing in the household is required to register themselves as a household contact on the G2G Hub (external link), and also download and use G2G Now.Any household members remaining within the suitable premises will be classified as a close contact if the approved traveller tests positive during self-quarantine. This testing regime will be reviewed regularly. Travellers and household contacts who self-administered a RAT for COVID-19 at home and have tested positive must register their result online with the Department of Health (external link). Face masks are mandatory to be worn on aircraft and at airports in WA, unless the traveller is 11 years or younger or hold a valid medical exemption. Face masks must also be worn in all indoor and outdoor settings for a 7 days once the traveller or household contact has finished their 7-day self-quarantine period. Arriving travellers must follow any other mask requirements in place in WA after completing their 14 days
If you are arriving by plane, there are a few things you need to do. You will need to scan your G2G Pass and, if applicable, confirm that you have suitable premises for self-quarantine.If you are required to self-quarantine, you must complete your quarantine period before you can travel to a regional area of WA by air or by road beyond 600 kilometres. If you use a taxi or ride-sharing service to get to your self-quarantine premises, you must wear a mask and inform the driver and any fellow passengers of your quarantine direction. They will also be required to wear a mask. You are not permitted to use public transport, such as a bus or train, to get to your self-quarantine premises. If you do not have suitable premises to self-quarantine, you may be refused entry to WA. Air travel into WA must be direct into Perth Airport. Travellers are not permitted to on-travel by air throughout WA until they have completed a 7-day mandatory quarantine period if triple dose vaccinated (if eligible), or 14 day mandatory quarantine period if they are an approved unvaccinated international arrival. If arriving into WA by air, you are permitted to travel up to 600km to your suitable self-quarantine premises by private vehicle, upon landing. You must not travel to your suitable premises by bus, train or other form of mass public transport. You must wear a face mask when in the company of others (e.g. taxi, ride share driver).
If you are entering WA by road, you will be met at the WA border checkpoint to ensure your travel has been registered via G2G Pass. There are additional requirements for travellers entering by road: Approved travellers entering by road must travel no further than 1,500km from the Eucla border (including stops for fuel and rest, with one overnight stop permitted). This allows for people to travel by road from Eucla to a suitable premises for quarantine in Perth. Approved travellers arriving at Perth Airport can only travel for 600km to their self-quarantine address. Entry at the Kununurra border is only permitted for transport, freight and logistics and border community residents. Restricted travel into remote Aboriginal communities. Please note, Rapid Antigen Tests will not be available for travellers at the Eucla border checkpoint. Travellers need to make sure they have completed and have proof of their negative RAT in the 24 hours before departure.
Aircraft passengers transiting from another state or territory through WA to another country are approved travellers, subject to conditions, which may include quarantine during their layover. If you are an interstate passenger who has a layover of less than 8 hours, you must travel directly to and remain at the departure terminal for your next flight until you are required to board your flight. If you are an interstate passenger with a layover of 8 to 72 hours, you will spend your layover in self-quarantine at a suitable premises or a quarantine centre. An authorised officer will meet you upon arrival, make a determination, and arrange the accommodation and transport if required. You must then remain in quarantine until the time of your connecting flight, at which you must take the most direct route available to your departure terminal.
We don't need (anymore) stupid people in WA. A good way to keep them out is to give them a basic intelligence test and see if they can fill out a G2G application.
Lucky I don't need to fill one out!
