In my experience, people tend to be consistently the same in their life, so I can imagine that instead of telling interesting stories at dinner which you probably imagine you are, you would be sitting there expecting everyone else to and then telling them they are wrong and its all a setup OR telling them that they are boring and you need to take something to make 'them' interesting.

today reality struck. A primary school Class was put on the week isolation ruling (kid tested positive) and the teacher happens to be my brother. It's local to. She's closing in lads for us WA misfits lockdown or no lockdown

I don't know about this 'back to normal' thing.

My mother (in NSW) was telling me that the father of one of her friends died recently. He had some sort of infection, went to hospital, they treated the infection, he caught Covid, and was discharged even though he lived alone. Due to worries about catching it, his family didn't visit him, and he had died. The hospital had discharged him figuring that they couldn't do anything and left him to effectively fend for himself.

He was eighty something, and had some infection problem, but it still doesn't sound right that he died alone from a Covid infection, when he probably would have been fine with only the original infection.

That doesn't sound right to me. Hardly 'normal', more like people are scared and hospitals don't have enough resources. I don't want to see that sort of thing happen anywhere.

I think we probably all agree that the hospitals should have ramped up ages ago in readiness for this sort of situation.

I still don't think its enough reason to rush into it and create a problem for ourselves, but as we can see each day, cases are increasing in number, making an opening date soon inevitable.

I would be a bit more accepting of this alternate viewpoint if the people that speak to me in person about this stuff understood how vaccines and the immune system worked, but they don't seem to. They just seem to understand "it's a conspiracy".
