There is no doubt the LX has more glide than the HPS. I have both the HPS880 and the 980. I never really had a issue with the 980 or 880 not gliding enough for the gybes but the LX760 definitely glides all the way round and if you trim it right quite a long way out the other side as well. There's certainly no rush to grab the handles. I just roll into the gybes let go with the back hand and glide until I'm fully on the new tack and then swap hands. As I said earlier I have the LX970 on order I've been so impressed with the LX760
I use an Axis 325 Progressive tail for everything and a standard ultrashort fuse. I'm not a fan of the advanced fuses as for me they were just pitchy but don't turn any better but that could be just me. If you unlike me like the advanced fuse then you'll love it with the LX because compared to the HPS it will turn as well, tip breach better, glide way better and be faster
Absoloutley great feedback Mark, I am 86kg and ride the HPS880 and 1050, both with skinny stabs, that was a game changer, but now I am looking at the LX970 to replace the 1050 and I think this could be it, with a higher AR to allow me to glide along and with more manoverability. The HPS880 works fine for me at the moment, however just boght a 2nd hand advanced ultrashort, was planing on using it with the larger 1050. Great review, cheers Mark
