Any experience with the New MA1850? How is the speed, how the glide?
I, 93kg, like the MA1350 and would like to have a frontwing for less wind with my 7m wing, maybe a bit more glide...

Pumps much more efficiently than the SF, similar to the HA.
Great glide, low stall speed.

I'd trade my HA850 for the MA850v2 any day.
Magic foil.

Bottom end still good on that MA850?

Sounds amazing btw, I got 26 knots on the MA1050 so keen to try that MA850 for maybe faster speed. That would put a question mark on keeping the HA650.
Lately been using the SF1080 all the time as crazy low stall speed, super turny and can still push it to 22knots. Has saved me quite a few times out in the waves when wind has dropped to 10 knots and would've been a swim in on anything else. This and the MA850 could be the ultimate combo.

which Satbilizer do you use? and shimmed?

i really like the 1degree Shim for the SF930/S208 and MA1050/S208

S210 and haven't tried shim yet. Got a S178 arriving soon to go w the HA650. Keen to hear more feedback on the smaller SF and MA wings.

Maybe a pump n glide series? Bigger than the SF1230 and AR8-9.

That's a chopped HA i think, the new MA850 will be a good freestyle wing

i think so too. i know from another teamrider who chopped the North HAs. I am happy with my HAs (1150, 950, 750) but for the 1150 i wished a little bit more turning (although i turns great for a 110cm span). I was therfore waiting for the SF series, but as i learned that the have a slow profile i decided also to chop my 1150HA........best decision: I can not feel any difference in performance (regarding glide, low end, speed, ventilation) but it just turns better now and thus is so much more fun for turns, jibes and tacks.
And the chopped tips give me also a safer feeling as i am not cruising with a dagger anymore.
Chopped now also all my other HAs (5 cm on each side (HA 1150, HA950), 3cm on each side of the 750HA)).

This Ha 850 is not going to puncture any more wings , no problems with ventilation, it is only 650 wide!

I'm looking into the North sonar range and I hope you guys can help me. I now ride a f-one phantom 1480 which I like but I'm looking for something faster with more glide. But one the other hand I do need the lowend of the 1480. I mostly ride gusty lakes for now. I've been riding for one year, jibes are good, some tacking. I weigh about 90 kg wet. Winds here are between 12-30 knots, mostly 15-20. 4 and 5 m wings.

I'm thinking about a MA1200 or a HA1250. For a main foil. And then maybe adding something bigger for lightwind days.

Will the MA be a step up from the phantom in performance?
OR should I look at the HA?
And in what sizes? About 1200 or smaller?

If I have chosen the 'main' front wing, what would be a good lightwind front wing, which is still fun to ride?

Thanks! HA is the way to go. I will look into the HA1250 then. And for a lightwind option one of the larger HA in the future?

Any rumors of a longer fuselage from North so they could be used for wind foil boards?

SF1230 hands down with the S215 tail.

Just curious, 1230SF w S215, shimmed or unshimmed?

SF1230 600 Fuselage S215 unshimmed, 700Fuselage for learning is lot more stable

Thanks. Was watching the difference between your cadence w the 930 and 1230 and I guess it's no coincidence my 1080 cadence is somewhere in between. Just ordered the 1230 for super light wind and small wavelets. I wing/Sup/surf foil but dock starts will be new to me.

A bit more info regarding the upcoming sizes.

I've now got the SF930 and SF1080, as well as MA1050 and HA650.
For a while the MA1050 was my go-to wing for everything, but I'm now getting more and more into the SF range. The HA650 is an incredibly exhilarating ride (esp w 178 stab) and super fast, though needs consistent high winds and a lot more technique to stay fast all the time (espec in gybes and tacks). I'll keep this for high winds.

Been interesting comparing the SF930 to 1080. Was using the 1080 a lot and had some great sessions including down-the-line wingfoil waverides and got it to 23knots down a swell, but now totally loving the SF930. It's faster (yesterday I pushed it to 25.3 knots) and more agile/looser. It also has amazing pump'n'glide (perhaps tiny bit less than the 1080), but the extra speed and agility makes it overall more fun. I can only imagine how good the smaller sizes will be.

So, I may well now consolidate to the SF930 and HA650 but will do bit more testing to gauge if I still need the 1080 for very light days as it's got me up in 8-10knots with a 6.0.
