Indeed, the finish is savage on them alright, 100% quality. I was mulling on them until I felt one in the flesh which quickly made up my mind. Pretty stoked on it, now I'm hunting any bit of wind, hoping to get out again in the morning!

Did anyone have a chance to compare the C600 and C700 fuselages?
Also, anyone using the C600?

Top end I haven't got faster than maybe 18knts but its been in choppy conditions. The S215 does feel a little draggy but the whole setup pumps really well, and I will take the usability and pumpability over the high end speed.

I actually reckon a similar wing but in the 700cm range would be legend, perhaps north will look into it. I haven't tried the HA range but looking forward to it. The SF930 does glide well but I feel I need to pump n glide on fast windswell as opposed to what a HA would bring.

What feature in particular do you think gives the SF such a good low end lift? Is the front wing mounted with slight more angle of attack? Is that also the case for the stab - hence a different stab needed for the SF.

It has a slightly thicker and farther forward camber in its foil profile than the HA. The foil shape is very different, the thickness drops off quickly. There's also some other subtle things going on w concaves. The 1080SF reminds me of a next generation turbo charged version of a Naish 1240HA which is a compliment.

I've got the 1250HA 2023 and 1080SF now, waiting on my SF930. The HA really is about the glide, I only break it out now for downwinders. Unlike some other brands that have a pump and glide, I would put it more in the speed and glide. But it does turn better than some comparable pump n glide foils. The 1080SF is now my go-too for waves and maybe just going out and learning new tricks because of its low stall speed and turning capabilities. As North advertises, the HA's require a finesse pump, the SF's will pump w more recklessness.
The 1080SF is a super fun plug and play foil in waves up to chest, maybe shoulder if weaker waves.
We had a 11-13 kt G15 day so I did some testing w different stabs. 1080SF w 215S consistently hit 18.5 mph and you could feel it pop up quicker and stall speed was really really low. With the 208HA stab it hit 19.9 mph. Still easy to pop up, but not as easy as the 215 and stall speed was a pinch higher. Both turn great, edge to 208 personally for me. I'll use the 215 for really light days and pump and connect wave days.

I tested the HA1050 with S208 this weekend. we had wind of 16kn, so I used a 4.2 Strike V1 wing, and it was nicely powered.The downside at first was: it was a wave spot. 1m slowly rolling waves, which I was not used to. Even in Windsurfing, I have minimal experience in the waves.

nevertheless, I got up relatively easily.
When I needed to pump the wing to get going, I just needed to pump a little longer to get speed. Compared to my SAB 945 where when it's up its up, the North requires a bit more speed, so pump a little longer.

The position of the foil on my board wasn't perfect and would need more fine-tuning if I would get one, but it was a lot easier to get up to a speed of 32km/h and feel everything under control. Compared to my Sab945 (which I used later) I could also reach 31 km/h but from control, it feels directly at the border of out of control.

In jibes, I made only some, 50% which is good as it was the first time with an HA foil and the first time in waves.
The friend who owned the foil and watched me said afterward, that I turned too much around. He said in the waves I should go in "before the wind" course, let the wave push me, and then once I have power in the wing again finish the turn.

So I think mostly the issue for me was the waves and only very little to the new small and HA foil.

Now I looked at the North Frong Wing Quiz and here I got:

Intermediate, 75kg, Lightwind: MA1200, and High Speed: HA850.At 95% I sail on lakes with maybe chop but no waves.
I go in the very light wind from 8kn till stronger winds of 20kn. And I only want to cruise as fast as possible.

Would that be also the recommendation you would give to me,
or might it be maybe better to use the HA850 for a little stronger winds? Instead of the MA1200 the HA1150 for the very light winds?

As the HA should have better glide than MA what should help between the gusts and I become more comfortable with HA wings and their wider turn radius?

Wow .. HA1450 you ask. I already find the HA1050 pretty good in 9kts (G 12-14) range. The glide is fantastic in between lulls. I wonder that the HA1450 would give me.. 7kts?

Concerning the turning (@WST) I don't think the HA makes that bigger radius of turns. What it does give me is nicer rounder turns with far more control. Previously I had more of a snap turn, tighter radius going I but same radius coming out. Now it just looks nicer on my gps traces. I also feel I carry much more constant speed throughout. I haven't started banking steeper / leaning more into turns but the North team rider pictures (hahaha.. let's use as a reference) show it can be done!

I was lucky enough to try all 4 on the 1250HA New in the same session. 208HA is my favorite, fast, turns on a dime. Obviously the other foils with thicker camber and foil shapes are slower. Of the 3, the 215S and 210 are very close in most aspects. Foils comes up quicker, lower stall speeds and both have the resistance to pump sloppy, where as the 208 likes it's tender. But both the 210 and 215 lose a little speed (1-2 knots on average). Obviously, the 270 is super stable, will lift the soonest and only loses a little speed to the 210 and 215. It's also surprisingly turny. For me, it's the 208 most of the time, however if I'm doing downwinders or pumping a lot and want to get out or it's stupid light, the 215 or 270. Here's the thing, if I could only have one foil, I agree w a lot of people on Utube, the 210. Hope that helps...

These are raw, first impressions.
Super low stall speed. Ridiculous in fact. Nice glide. Very predictable.
Hard to overfoil even if dropping straight down from overhead swell.

My gf had a go on it as well, she's had maybe 40 sessions on a wing?It was the first time that she was riding smaller than a 1050.
She got it going easily in the same conditions with a 33L, 2.9 m

I also got the SF1230 with the intent of it being her go-to wing for lighter winds and as a dockstart replacement for my HA1450 (v1 - 2021-2022). But given how easy the 930 is to ride, I think that it will become her light wind foil rather than the 1230.

I had one session dockstarting the 1230.
Crazy low stall speed and glide for its size.
Very forgiving, much much faster than my 1450.

My go-to front wing is the HA850 so that's what I ride in what I consider light wind, i.e. 12-13 knts with a 5.5m and 43L
Below that, I'd rather dockstart.

I only winged the old HA1450 when I was learning and then it was used only for dockstarting.
Given that I can easily dockstart the SF1230 and that it's much faster and more playful than the old HA1450,
I can extrapolate that it winging it you won't lose any low end vs 1450.

So the low end of the SF930 is definitely low...
I've managed to dockstart it today with the same amount of steps (although a bit faster steps) than the SF1230.Will need to get it on video though.

Unreal, thanks for all the info I'm stoked that others are stoked on these wings too. I haven't levelled up to dockstarting yet but the low end of the SF930 is crazy, north are spot on with their marketing that these will go super slow and allow you to recover.
