I agree. 2 sails blown out and a tendon snapped in 4 days. Not appropriate weather for a 150 carve.

Hey guys I had a great time sailing with some of you at Bongaree today. What a great spot in a westerly!

Saturday was probably not the day to have as a first sail of the season with a sail I haven't used before and a board that is over 50 l smaller than my "normal board", but I survived and although I'm still sore it was a great afternoon. Thanks for the peer pressure Bone's.

My impatience got the better of me. Rather than wait for more wind and miss the tide, I jumped on the windSUP instead and sailed over to Sandstone and back from Beachmere. Absolutely stunning 10-12kn SE conditions the whole way with a bit flatter water and little more wind over towards Sandstone. The forecast wind hit pretty quickly just as I was packing up so Adam and Jeff should have a nice afternoon at Bongaree with The Pope. I'll wait till the tide is back tomorrow now.

Where people goingtomorrow, Bongaree or Sandstone? I got my sails fixed. Bob

Hey Bob, probably Sandstone from late morning onwards if there's enough wind. If not it'll have to be Bongaree later on when the tide drops.

The wind didn't exactly play the game again today. Adam didn't have anywhere better to be so he went down the beach early, and I'm glad becauseI rang him and he said to put the windSUP on the roof of the car. Whitecaps here at Beachmere early but 10kn conditions and flat water at Sandstone except for a bit of a mad half hour when it was around 15kn for about a half hour or more. Dave and Brad joined us for a sail as well as Curtis the kiter and another couple of random kiters that showed up too. All kiters went home in disgust due to the lack of wind. I broke with tradition and used a 7.5 on the windSUP today and had a cracker of a time and when the wind got up a little it was the strongest wind and the fastest speed that the big piece of plastic has ever reached, good fun indeed.

It blew it's socks off down here on the gold coast, I could see it from my 17th floor hotel room!!!

You gentleman of leisure, would have been even more windy at 17 floors up

Tomorrow's forecast is looking promising for either Bongaree on the low through to the making tide and there should be enough water at Sandstone from 2pm onwards. Neap tides at the moment so the water should be pretty flat too

I've just been brutalised by prep through to grade 3 at the Beachmere State School father's day stall so I'm waiting for a little more tide to come in before windsurfing at Sandstone for the rest of the afternoon to deal with the horrors of the morning

thinking of bringing kids n wife so was just wondering how crowed does it get under the only tree in the grassy park area also thought I might set up wind break there because only 3/4 of our family like the wind, sometimes only 1/4 of us.

My family too lungs, reckon we get there early for that tree and take a shelter. Reckon my clan will come to.

I'm in. Family in tow. Cianna was a bit sick today, but hopefully she'll be fine.
We'll try and get there early for her to have a sail in the lighter wind and a bit more water.
Then I can have fun in the arvo. Hope it come's in. Maybe NXS Viper 150Ltr Full carbon will do it anyway.

think there was 9 of us wide variety of boards and sail choices as the wind went through its cycles

Reckon Tony nailed the conditions - one board - one sail.... jpslw with 8.5 severne turbo. Wore himself out.

Jv johny with a very modern slalom board and 7.5 Ncx did the big Kms as he did the trip up the passage and back

Late drop in by Dennis and 'the roofer' who needed to keep the Gps kms clicking as he was being outflanked by Dags - Ohh to be king in your domain.

Lungs tested his recovering ankle and looked happy to be on the water again in a new location

Dags had a busy afternoon testing his new lightwind options and then when the wind filled in went back out to show us all how to do it with a small sail

Ballast went the 7.5 option just before the wind dropped ;-(. Should have pulled the jpslw out of the trailer

Yep, but pretty hard work. Woke up four times last night with aganising cramps in three different places (in my left leg, I was still in the same bed). Actually yelling for help.
Here comes Summer. Can't wait for those day's with more constant NE'rly wind's.

Off water safely at turners before dark. A few short runs as the arvo wind died. Adam made the best of the conditions getting on water earlier
