So you haven't been to the offices I speak of then.
You have assumed.
Caught out again just like that post last night.

Hey JB, would there be any circumstances that it would be ok to kill a shark?
IF the science supported it, off coarse i would have no issue..
Ive said it all to often, im not a shark lover. But ill take my advice from the experts, not people who educate themselves from the media and news papers..What i have pushed from day one is still the same, i just want any money spent on the issue to be spent wisely. So many on here supported the millions spent on the last cull. Now many are supporting again million again to be spent on another drum line proposal..Nothing seems to change sadly.
The big issue is the shark problem has been a political football from day one and the media love to over dramatise the issue because it sells papers (Clicks and likes). Most people quote info that they have heard, but never bothered to investigate its validity.
All too often, people post the word FACT when in all honestly it couldn't be further from the truth..
Cheers JB. Good to see you'd support the science. Given that, what in your opinion is the driver behind the increase in attacks and what would you recommend to mitigate the risk of further attacks?
So ... Greenie is obviously in support of a cull. How 'bout you JB, what do you recommend we do to mitigate the risk of further attacks?
Well a good start would be not to enter the water when their is a large shark at your beach..IF that simple rule was implemented, both the last two attacks wouldn't have occurred and the Margy pro would have been held in ****ty onshore stormy waves..( the weather predicted and IMHO the real reason they called the event)
I think the whale issue should be switched from being a local issue to a state issue. The amount of dead whales down south recently has been stupid.
I think products/deterrents should be provided with some extra financial help. Even some reduction in stupid fees to simply be able to test products would be a game changer. The restrictions around how products can be scientifically tested is just plain stupid.
Better warning systems and alerts, you'd remember the day when Dorreen was attacked. An hour and half before the rangers turned up to clear the water. Even though we had all got out. Even after the rangers turned up, they had no closure signs.
Again stupid points like better beach locations. You were their again a few weeks back when it took me over 8 min trying to give the beach location to the ambulance, even though i gave them the street name..If that had of been a lost limb instead of a spinal, 8 min could make a big difference..
I think localised beach fishing and burly for large sharks should be banned. I understand that the ocean is a shared resource but commonsense needs to be considered.
But mostly id like to see the issue not be used as such a political football. Money used wisely were it will actually help. The libs have invested what $30 plus million and what have we got? A heap of dead Tiger sharks..
