I just don't know how you blokes manage a before work early...
If I get up at 5:30am... in the water at 6:15am and surf for 1hr:15min always looking at my watch and getting frustrated I am not getting enough waves...
Run back up the beach at 7:30am - then it's a mad dash for shower/shave/toast and half a cup of coffee etc before sitting in traffic and getting to work just before 9:00am where the day has already started...
And worse of all, if it's on - then every bugger is doing the same and it can be like a Saturday morning crowd...
Might be getting too old - Doggie, are you handing out those slippers?
live in a regional area GP.....10 minutes downhill on my pushbike(rare) to work or about 3-4mins by car ..........range of beaches covering almost every wind direction(except straight east and strong southeast) within 15 mins....
depending on the tide (low required for a quick blast up the beach ) swell and wind i can get a 2 hour surf totally solo some days ..
its pretty rare to have more than 8-10 people in the water and i would consider that a crowd .....being the "chief cook and bottlewasher" at work helps a little too normally there by 9.30 after leaving home at 9.20ish
