Took a punt and did the early trip to LBB... was glassy, but too small to even get a cheeky dozen tiddlers on the mal (I tried). Wind was well and truly in by 9:30am... 0.5/10

Not sure it will be worth the petrol... swell seems to be on the way down still...

I have had one surf since Christmas............................... There was a couple in the 4 weeks prior so as a round average its about 3 in 8 weeks........

There has been 6-7 additional "swims""paddles" however this is more an exercise in futility than a surf.

Options.....
1 Gold coast, drive down to Sydney flights car hire etcetc 2000 might get ya 5 days or a week, if ya convince a mate double the timeframe for same cost + 500
2 Indo somewhere anywhere 2000
3 down south .........2-300 bucks for a couple days plus food and accom
4 Trigg NOT AN OPTION
5 Offshore reefs/rotto/upnorth.. Spent a bit of time in the last 8 weeks as a car prisoner chasing waves in a 1 metre swell scored 3 good sessions in 8 weeks 2 off which involved boat rides of an hour on top of 2-3 hours each way in car

In the last 10 weeks or so I have been up at 5:30am a few times only to check the cam and swell charts and go back to bed...

I have been up to Lano once for what can only be described as 'getting wet'... it was not a surf.

I do not remember my last decent surf. It was Sept/Oct or something...

I have started swimming laps at the local 50m pool again - just to keep the shoulders moving.

I used to love Summer surfs - small, but clean. Was happy to bob up and down having a chat while waiting for a small waist high set... because there was generally something about... but this is ridiculous

You are right there fellas, Huey has taken this way way too far this time... 40 degree heat wave next week so we are up to 8-10 weeks.

I know theres been a couple days down south but with the school holidays and only swell magnets breaking theres still a hectic crowd, I just want to see the swell hit 2 metres, than the drives and boat trips are worth it and something local would be nice.

I bought a rowing machine and said if I don't surf that day I have to row 3-5 km, I hate the rowing machine so much at the moment, I look at it with disgust

Handful of good surfs since November, winter was not as good as previous years. Been swimming laps, kayaking, fishing SUP flat water paddling and generally just wasting petrol!

Few small runners on the longboard last Friday but apart from that nuffin. You know there's no swell when you are struggling to find days to grovel on a longboard.

I had fun last week, but last night driving i was wondering how we could get more swell to the coast, i wonder how hard would it be to remove Rotto

Honestly it looks diabolical out in the ocean for the for see able future

Is it too early to start looking forward to Easter and my usual trip to the South coast I have certainly already starting eating easter bunnies from Woolworths

The River has been amazing. Jetski plus Surfboard plus Lunchtime glass offs have equaled a very shredded up river
