the wind has smashed what little swell we had away now. today was a mixed bag with inconsistant chest to shldr then head high set appearing every 10 mins. the rest of the week looking grim but worthy searching those small wave magnet spots. weekend looking the pick but everyone else is thinking the same and too top it off, its a long weekend!

I'm going to back in Perth on Saturday just in time for some swell.

What we really need is a big NW storm to stir that bloody sand up, let's hope it happens sooner than later!!!!

I remember the same thing was said early last year. And what did we get? Maybe three cold fronts all year and each one pissweak. At least this year's going to be different, it's going to crank all autumn, winter and spring.

The weekend looks like it could be a possibility in places. But with no banks and a long weekend I'm not going to go looking. Got other things to do anyway.

It's only been about 3.5 months since I last surfed.

Just because you said it twice does not mean it's going to happen (sadly)...

yawn....is it time to wake up now? looks like the swell was earlier than expected sunday, finding some people solitude before the chinese whispers were sauted.(apparently even north in the metro areas) i was suprised to have a quick dabble. monday(today) brought them thick and the sunrise proved what was the theory....30 guys at one infamous south western break on dusk.
it's been a long drought in WA and i hope this quick surge has made a spark for the following weeks as we break into autumn. bring it on huey!

FLAT AS BRO,

i'm heading down to Yalls tomorrow with the missus and tin lid - not looking that great but there are a few spots that usually give it up when there is a small swell. might bring the 9'8 tanker.
At the very least I can get a few nice bottles of red and some venison chorizo.

Have a good weekend

Had a nice relaxing trip down south. Surf was pretty non existent though.

I surfed junky blown out Honeycombs on the Friday. Next day at it was clean but at Windmills I counted 30 + blokes out with another five suiting up when we got to the car park.

We decided that coffee and breakfast followed by a visit to the animal farm near Yallingup for my son would be a better bet. My son certainly thought so. Out of interest, that place has 15 types of farm animals, including a carrot spitting Lama. classic.

Windmills with 30+ people would be fun.

Honeycombs, Windmills - must've been small swell. I guess you've really got to explore to find uncrowded waves. Not many places fire if the beachbreaks are small. I've got a few up my sleeve that I haven't visited for a while. Not sure if the tracks still go through. Plus you never know when you'll come across a bush gardener armed and angry.

My commiseration there.

Can't wait until autumn/winter. I am going to try my luck down Denmark over easter. Have always scored some clean waves at Ocean Beach and Parry's in the past. Got a 7'2 Simon Anderson which should be ready for that trip -

1.30pm - 2:00pm 25/3/11

On-shore wind just in...

Head high off the point - breaking L & R (the peak is in front of the cafe, but the bigger sets are coming off the reef). Good crowd chasing it...

No real shape 2nd and 3rds

Quite fat at Mettams - only 2 out on the Left - 0 on the Rights.

Head plus at Toms - 18 out.

Small wave at Grabbers - 4 out.
