3ft, 300m mechanical tube?
It's pretty much my dream wave. The only thing better would be three 100m tubes with a section to belt in between and a nice little ramp to finish.
As an aside, if they're having trouble with backwash in these pools wouldn't an infinity edge resolve that?

Dunno what an infinity edge is, but I reckon there would be a number of fairly simple ways of taking care of that problem...Personally I'd just be stoked with a long mechanical tube coz I don't get tubed very often. If I got sick of it & preferred non mechanical waves I have to read again, that would be fine...but highly unlikely

Chrispy i think this Pool is a great idea

well i can see you now,
Hanging with the grey haired skater ol boys down at the deep end
listening to tunes on those big headsets wearing a sun visor and basted in coconut oil chewing gum saying …….chew chew ,,,,,pup is ripping it today,,,,,,, chew chew.
finished with….chew chew,,,,i can't wait to come back next pension day.

With most pros its 30min then off , one mistake and off is harsh and costly.

Same as any other wave - this one looks a bit more forgiving than a few others.

Okay so the above clip of the long boarder is the first wave ridden there, that I've seen thats been clunky, or not smooth might be a better description. I was really happy to see a few videos also showing the paddle in on the wave, SG's looks the bomb and once again not that bad. I had thought the take of would be harder. The talk about SurfSnowdonia is it takes a few waves to get it right..

So from my observation is it the speed that is making people call it an advanced wave Not harping, just trying to see the issue and obviously yes I'm slow on the uptake

In the wing nut clip it almost looks like they have backed off the mechanics of the machine to produce a more longboard friendly wave. If that's the case then that's brilliant opens doors wide for anyone to surf it. Or maybe it's just the wind on it that's done it?

Jb watch I can't think of name. He pretty much summed it up. You can't turn without being a air drop. Wingnut showed how sketchy it can be without being flawless in is surfing, and thats saying heaps because is a champ.

Me i think if you make one bad adjustment, even very minor and it's game over.

Yep they've lowered the output on the wave generating thingymahjiggies. Doesn't look as clean...but still cleaner than most West Oz clean days.

The wave is on like 1/2 power...wind could be from the wrong direction also.

...Just watched it again, looks like a light offshore to me judging by the spray. I think it is designed for higher output waves & just doesn't look as good when its not barrelling down the line...funny that

It would be interesting to see the design of the ground beneath, probably top secret but yeah would love to see.

Most waves if you blow it you blow it. Some have more critical consequences than others. When you look at Kelly's wave to me it does not look too different. If you blow it you blow it. Not many high performance waves anywhere allow you to recover once you blow it.

The definition of advanced these days is a little slated in my viewpoint. Essentially though of you can paddle and jump to your feet and trim you will have a blast on that thing. If you can extend and compress and move your arms then you are in for one hell of a time.

Great clip JB. Loved it. Good to see the golf cart getting some use

This vid shows its an easy as take off & allows quick cut backs. Its doesn't have blocky shut down sections & its not that fast.

So a pretty easy yet bloody nice wave

How much would everyone pay for
A) two hours at slaters wave pool with just you and a mate
B) two hours at wavegarden (like the snowdoniA one) just you and a mate
Intersting to see a comparison.
Me, I'd fork out 100 for wavegarden, and up to 1000 for slaters pool (if I had the cash)

Actually Kersey said it was like greenmount and he was doing some nice cutties and top turns with no airdrops it depends on how you surf it like I said before looks like a wave for the average punter as well I'd love to surf it but I'm not going to pay big bucks for something I can do for free

Yeah that one looked the best to date for me. Lots of variety.

What i have seen has me thinking. I wonder if the waves have been so different, or is it just different approaches/style from the surfers
