Have to agree with Foxsup/BB post above. Sums it up pretty well. Both boards are very good but different.
Goldman - there are better options than the Fireball and the G&S if you want shortboard type performance. Assuming you are after PU (not Tuflite) have a look at the McTav UFO & the Original (in SLX), the Laguna Bay MSJ Super model, Clearwater's hi-performance mals by Steve Del Rosso, and Tolhurst's Harley model to name a few.
