G'day folks,
Long time reader, first time poster..
After some board advice, switched to longboards couple years back after surfing shorties for many years, as a result getting that stoked feeling every single surf on the longboard.
im 32, 78KG and been riding a 9'1 fireball bought 2nd hand about 4 years ago - red with white stripes. Its still in good nick and surfs great but Im considering going slightly more performance (still used to the shorties and want to move it round bit more). Anyone have any opinions on the G&S Dane Wilson model 9'1. gordonandsmith.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=67&Itemid=70

Thanks,
Goldman

Thanks Chrispy - the takayama scorpion looks super fun.
My short board is a 5'10 hybrid fish - what size would you suggest in the scorpian?
Im 178cm 80kg after sinking tinnies watching cricket yesterday.

much respect to dane and father dave but danes boards are more the traditional type and you want a more radical looser longboard so just do what mac says.

Hey Goldman,
Can't argue with Mac's comment you can't really go past a Mc Tavish.
If you are after a HP longboard have you also checked out Laguna Bay's super model.
( MSJ Model )
I just got rid of one of these and can say they are the shiz.
Massive rocker, heaps of concave and light
The only downfall IMO is the deck can get bumpy, But I am 120 Kg's but at 75 Kg's you should be ok.

I'm not on one, but I would love to have a go at this noserider.

It's taken a lot of will power to stop from driving up there and forking out the 900 clams needed for it to be mine.

If it was cheaper, I'd be there in a flash, even though I don't need another noserider.

I just like the way it looks.

I wouldn't think you would get any more performance out of the DaneWilson model over the Fireball.

From what I've heard and what I've seen in pics, it's a loggers paradise.

Not sure about HP stuff.
