The only downfall IMO is the deck can get bumpy, But I am 120 Kg's but at 75 Kg's you should be ok.

2 x 6oz with an extra 4oz patch

Or stop eating pies

cRAZY,
I want to turn the thing without the assistance of a couple of Brissy river tugs

Doggie,
lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala

Yep, happy as a pig in mud - fantastic waves, fantastic company and not a whiney longboarder in sight - doesn't get any better than that - oh, and I've no need to watch glee - if I wanna see understated, natural talent I need only look around my local lineup when our crew is out

Do it Ob - life too short ..... only obstacle (no pun intended mate) may be no sex for a bit ... just do it

I saw this one next door. I thought it was a good one...

....."Four married guys go surfing and got into this conversation:

First guy: "You have no idea what I had to do to be able to come out surfing this morning. I had to promise my wife that I will paint every room in the house next weekend."

Second guy: "That's nothing, I had to promise my wife that I will build her a new deck for the pool."

Third guy: "Man, you both have it easy! I had to promise my wife that I will remodel the kitchen for her."

The fourth guy just smiles. So they asked him. You haven't said anything about what you had to do to be able to come surfing this weekend. What's the deal?"

Fourth guy: "I just set my alarm for 5:30 am. When it went off, I shut off my alarm, gave the wife a nudge and said, "Surf or Sex" and she said,

"Wear sun-block"

G'day folks,
Long time reader, first time poster..
After some board advice, switched to longboards couple years back after surfing shorties for many years, as a result getting that stoked feeling every single surf on the longboard.
im 32, 78KG and been riding a 9'1 fireball bought 2nd hand about 4 years ago - red with white stripes. Its still in good nick and surfs great but Im considering going slightly more performance (still used to the shorties and want to move it round bit more). Anyone have any opinions on the G&S Dane Wilson model 9'1. gordonandsmith.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=67&Itemid=70

Thanks,
Goldman

Hey Goldman, welcome to the LB lounge. Back to your actual question....

I have ridden both these boards (in various different sizes) and happy to give you feedback. We have both boards in store and demo's of each at the moment. Please send me a PM with your number and I'll call you. Takes me too long to type words! - Mark

As an ALLROUNDER - I feel that the fireball is a far superior board for the average surfer. I can get a fireball rocking in any surf from 1 to 10ft (well used to be able to) whereas I had no joy at all on the G&S in knee to waist high surf and could only really get it firing in solid waves of maybe chest high or better. I have actually seen a coupla mates surf the G&S in crazy waves at the alley and the board was sooooooo fast and held on where many high performance boards would have just been sucked up the face and belted - a real suprise packet in rhe right hands. I think if you want a very traditional log (ish) kinda board that can handle serious waves (if you can) then the G&S is a gem - BUT if you want a forgiving, fun board that will cruise all day in 6inch whitewash or comfortably destroy double overhead waves (again obviously in the right hands) then the fireball is just an easy to live with board that will never let you down no matter what you ask of it. IMHO anyway.
