Caught a grand total of 3 waves at Torquay Point, Low Tide, just before. But, by gosh they were long ones. From right out the back, to all the way to shore, jump off in shin deep water and go again... Seriously, they were like 250m+ waves!

Riding the lovely 9'6 pin tail. Such a great board. Not a super hy-perform board... just perfect for about 17 long graceful cut-backs per long wave!

Chrispy, the first 2 waves were aces, and final wave was the joker!

What waves are you guys getting today!?

Pup, my soft point is a good vanilla slice! Those French Vanilla ones are even better, if they do them right... I prefer no jam... just custard, or creamy custard, with a dusting of icing sugar over the pastry bit...

Mac, throw away the gym, and hit the creek with 666Lacey!

I'll get another long wave for you today Mac!
Similar again today. Swell lines, but a little onshore. Keeps the crowds down anyway.

The Pin-Tail will get another run today!

The tide is getting low now... 12:30ish Super Low Tide... 0.26m...
So time to go now boys! Overhead Onshore Uncrowded Summer Madness!

The good thing about Torquay Point is that the outside take-off point is a very long way off the beach, so only the guys that can actually surf are out there! Even in Summer!

Just verified waves lengths from Google Earth... estimated rides were 2 x 300m, and 1 x 350m... and that is conservative... More like 2x330m & 380m...

7 to 10 cut backs per wave is no exaggeration!

TB, good work!!

Mac, that Pink Cruiser board is in Torquay. Not mine however! You know the original R&D version for the new Cruiser model. The guy did a deal with Ben Wallace via eBay for $560!! I recall it was on their 2nd hand section for about $800, and I thought that was a good price. I would have paid $600 plus freight if Ben had have just rang and offered it !!

Fun out there again today... A little bit bumpy... but very fun!
There was only about 6 or 8 people out, so plenty of waves to go around. (There for another 6 or 8 who were floating around further inside, not causing any drama... plus about 100 people mucking about inside, in the shallows!)
