Yep, I agree it has been a horrible spring, winter and autumn were pretty good around here plenty of waves but all the banks dissappeared in September and been no swell sincethen either.

At least the southerly has came through and cooled things down from yesterday. But no waves again today.

Wednesday onwards is looking OK for some swell SP, being a bit further south of me you might score it on Tuesday.

Just got back from 2 days at Lennox (flat rock) a foul northerly the whole time I didnt take a board off the roof so I took my stunt kite down to the beach and snapped both strings in 5 mins FKIT the surf kiters were absolutely smashing it I was sitting there thinkin I must give this ago watching some bloke absolutely tear it up out there big airs, then I thought to myself no I am to old 45 the bloke came in easily in his 60,s built like the duke. Who has had a go at kiting I am thinking its another option when its crap like this

now boofy. i too had the notion of kiting once upon a time. then i see all the lunatics being launched through car parks, ending up in trees or the road once. you are a broken human/beast and i would not advise this particular pursuit of happiness

My wife is a nurse - currently looking after a kiter who got lifted and dumped on to the beach feet first. Both ankles broken, and shin bones through skin. Dr's have taken stomach muscles to repair the damage to his lower legs... once those grafts take he will have months of rehab to learn to walk again... [with a very pronounced limp no doubt ].

How much westerly do you want Ted we have had plenty lately . You can have our westerlys if we can have your northerlys .

If you get too cold Chrispy give us a yell you can borrow my heated vest for the summer .
Waters warming up nicely down here have packed away the booties and gloves for the year . Couple of weeks should be breaking out the springsuuts .

Adelaide on the weekend on Saturday it was about 2-3 foot and nice, I can say I thoroughly battled.

On a good note I learned how to properly duck dive my supertanker!

Bit of swell this morning so got out with a couple of mates and while the surf wasn't super, (we did have some nice little banks to play with though) the water was beautiful and we had some good laughs, and that's what it's all about.

I took my 8yr old godson for a surf down at Dee Why this arvo....it was about 1 foot onshore slop - I was pushing him into them on his foamy....he did well though riding a good 7 or 8 of them from out the back all the way into the sand. He still needs to work on his pop-up but he is improving all the time. I reckon he will be cruising across the face of a wave in no time at all. Great to see the excitement and thrill in his smile. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Best w/e of waves we have had for quiet some time. Not big but 3ft with a few bigger ones - close to perfection so no complaints. 4 fun sessions already and hoping for another 2 before the day is out. Summer crowds levels are creeping back in though. No photos as have been at a semi secret spot (along with a few others sadly) Hope you all getting some. The swellnet surf report has been very funny again....we get a 5/10 today yet when its been close to flat and windy the last few weeks we have been getting 4/10 !!! Madness. Hopefully everyone is following it closely
