Hi Roy as suggested earlier why don't you just make a board and get one of the team to test it out in giant waves ,why go to all this team stuff with 40 boards,if they work Im sure you'll get 40 orders ,if they don't you haven't wasted you're time building them all.Im so interested to see them ridden but at this rate it doesn't seem likely to happen on the scale you're chasing.Ive seen crowd funding garner $400,000 in ten days and their target was a mere $70,000.Also what happened to Camels board that you were shaping, did he get his hands on it?
"if they don't" ??
Of course they work, I'm not doing this to see if they work and will be building them as long as I live, for myself and others.
The aim is to get them to the very top.
We'll see what happens, as you say the crowdfunding is slow ( it just doubled this evening though) but there's always a plan B.
I have a ten footer done, and three 11 footers basically ready for glassing plus a fourth 11 footer to come. For the top end paddle in they might need more volume but will cover some pretty massive waves with the existing volume ( around 70 litres).
That 'Flowhive' campaign was pretty amazing ( is that the one you are referring to as they asked for $70k?) I reckon that they deserve it, a fantastic product and a very nicely presented, heart warming campaign too.
