the surfing world has discovered this shape already Roy!, it happened in the 40s and 50s....
No it didn't (Greetings Kayu)
A somewhat similar planshape existed during those times, but not only are many of our planshapes significantly different, everything else is different too... the boards are almost entirely different animals.
Nevertheless they are big pintails, and in some respects continue the evolution of big pintails which was interrupted by the 'Malibu' design.
If you think that the performance of my boards in big waves can be tested by wheeling out a 30's era Blake board or anything from the 40's/50's then you are dreaming.
Plenty of these about in those times I'm sure,so I'm just a copycat... the same could be said of any surfboard currently existing if one decides to ignore differences and find only similarities. Boards which float existed in ancient Hawaii therefore everything we see now was already discovered then... it fails the logic test.
As far as guns go it makes big news when apparently small changes are made to the mainstream boards... what I'm offering is a design genre which has many major differences and which uses a different paradigm.... but nothing to see here move along... just get some old videos of the 50's and it's covered.... yeah right
